As a Dlicer-Dicer I would rate this 5 stars, but if you want the features of a true food processor you still need to have a stand alone. We have a great tabletop food processor so we purchased this item for what it is designed for. I think to call it a food processor is a misnomer.

Being a long time user of Kitchen Aid Mixers for over 30 years, I got excited and decided to order this amazing processor. I process salsa, chowchow and many other things to can. This processer takes up much less room, comes in a wonderful impressive storage case and is easy to use! Does an amazing job, clean cuts, and saves so much time! I worked as a chef in a professional kitchen for years and so love the dicing feature. I've never seen anything quite like this in a home product, Amazing!!!!

I received this as a Christmas gift to help with some recipes I wanted to try. I get a little frustrated because when I am using the attachments I still get some of my foods not shredded or diced the way I was expecting. But I am still enjoying it because it beats doing it the manual way which I still tend to do on occasion depending what perfection I am in the mood for. 
It is easy to use, I still read the directions to make sure I put it together properly. Sometimes though I am afraid that I will get food on the part that isn't submersible in water and that makes me nervous.

It okay

none of the blades were labeled.only pictures and not good ones. no directions on exactly how to use it.very difficult to attach and use.tomatoes clogged it and came out mush.returning it now.

When requesting this product for my registry, I did not realize that food "processor" did not mean it could blend items like most processors on the market. This one only chops, slices, dices, & juliennes. However, besides this mistake on my behalf, the reason this processor receives poor ratings is because the first time I used it, the blade chopped part of the plastic off the top lid when I was slicing sweet potatoes. Ever since then, parts of the food I cut up gets caught in the top and doesn't go all the way through or gets shredded funny. I would definitely prefer a standard food processor blender on the market over this attachment. I do not recommend.

Decent but not great

I got this as a gift and it does not fit on the mixer correctly. Unless I put some metal pieces inside the Hub it doesn't spin like it's supposed to. Customer service was great and tried to fix the problem they sent me a new food processor that did not fix the problem it was the same problem. I took my mixer back because customer service said it might be a bad hub I exchanged the mixer for a new one and it still didn't work. All my other accessory pieces work fine but the food processor will not work properly without Extra metal pieces inside the Hub.

Doesn't fit the hub on the mixer correctly

Bought this & spirilizer for my wife. I used it to make sure it would do what she needs.(she is a baker & cook). Sliced potatoes into hash browns to see how it would perform. Was very disappointed. This processor cannot be used for anything liquid either. If you wanted to make a simple gram cracker crust (by pulverizing grams), you could not do it. Unit has good power & I can see usefulness in some areas. It's more of a slicer than a processor. Spirilizer is great.

Not as good as a countertop unit

Great Idea and actually a good design but it does not perform as well as I expected.  The dial on the side to adjust thickness is a great feature.  This does work, however it requires taking it apart and clearing out the disk for the dicer after every vegetable (I tried with onions, bell peppers, and jalapeños) the dicer gets clogged with the skins.  I only used the dicing blade.
  I like the way it will just drop your results into a bowl of your choice as this makes it easier to do large quantities, but constantly having to take the top off, clean the dicing disk, etc. just proved too much work.

Great Idea, Poor execution.

Bought the attachment in June it didn't work with my original stand mixer which was 20 years old so I bought a new one and it still does not work. kitchenaide customer service seems to be ignoring me.
