Good grinder for the price. When you use it put vegetable oil on the shaft and don't over tighten it (hand tighten) and you'll get good results. If a little meat comes out through the threadings it's no big deal, it's better than metal in the food.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like to make foods like sausage cheese balls but mixing and grating ingredients is painful with arthritic hands. The grinder attachment ground and grated the moist ingredients easily. Using the dough  hook made mixing and kneading the dry ingredients with the moist. This was the first time I made sausage cheese ball without having to pause because of the arthritis in my hands. I've also found that the whisk makes Quinoa Bisquik very easy.

I have used other meat grinders and feel this does not even come close to how they worked. I have never had any problems with this.  I would highly recommend this to a friend!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wonderful KitchenAid® attachment has changed the way we view ground meat products. From the very first time I purchased an inexpensive roast, asked the butcher for a half pound of beef fat, went home and ground our own home made ground beef, we decided we would never buy store or factory ground beef again. There is no comparison. After the "pink sludge" scare a few years ago, everyone wants better ground meat products and this simple device makes it not only possible but easy and affordable.

I also grind pork butt and make our own sausage patties by simply adding a bit of sage and you can too. I also grind the beef, pork and veal to make the best meatballs ever.

If you have ever considered this attachment, quit thinking and go get it. You will be so glad you did.

Changed our lives - Seriously!

I bought this several weeks ago. I had some spiral ham left over from the holidays. My husband will only eat my ham salad as he knows I am very careful what goes in the ham salad. The ham ground at the right consistency. I'm looking forward to using it on garden produce this summer

This Kitchen Aid attachment does what it says! Pretty pricey though however,I was given my Kitchen Aid Classic Mixer from a good friend no longer with us God bless!!

The KitchenAid food grinder allows me to have the freshest, leanest, and most flavorful ground meat for my meatloaf, burgers, and chili, just to name a few. I love it and would recommend it to anyone who wants to improve the quality of their food.

This food grinder is so easy to use.

I love my Kitchen Aid Mixer along with all the attachments for it. My Husband (Boyfriend at the time) had bought me a teal Kitchen Aid Mixer for my Birthday. I have wanted one since forever! Then last year he bought me a few attachements and this was one of them. So far we have made bacon cheeseburgers by grinding bacon into the ground beef. Best burgers so far!

Sadly, the housing sustained a crack during usage. I was careful not to overstuff the unit, or apply too much pressure with loading meat. I expected more, especially because I certainly paid the price for the name. I will continue to use Kitchen Aid products, but as far as this item, I guess I am better off using the old school manual unit that clamps to the table.
