Effective on surfaces, but crevices can be challenging.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been working hard to cook the most fresh, whole food I can, using foods with a minimum of preservatives. I have recently begun making my own pasta sauce, so when this wonderful attachment for my mixer arrived I was thrilled! I had never made my own pasta so I went in search of a whole wheat recipe in an effort to be more healthy. The texture of the dough was such that the finished pasta was too dense to be enjoyable. Next, I tried the recipe in the pasta press handbook and it was divine! Great fresh pasta made quick and easy with fresh, whole ingredients. Following the instructions in the handbook are important for easy clean-up. This attachment is easy to use and to clean. No more store bought pasta for me!

Delicious, fresh pasta!

Kitchen Aid

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Machine makes great pasta, love making the various types. Getting ready to experiment and try some different styles and flavor of pasta.

Fresh Pasta

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a Christmas gift and absolutely love it! It's easy to use....and fairly easy to clean as well.

Love this product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love making all homemade organic food and this really helps. I feel its more affordable than the pasta roller/cutter and you get way more kinds of cuts. Very simple to put on and clean. This is a huge help in the kitchen!

A must have!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have wanted this attachment for such a long time, I was beyond excited when I finally received it in the mail. The recipe was easy, the attachment was very easy to figure out, and the whole process was fun and exciting. It does make very tasty pasta. I will continue to use this over and over again. My only complaint so far is trying to clean the dough out of those pasta discs. Those little wholes are not easy to clean out. Even with that problem, I still love this attachment and would buy it any day. Highly recommended for the pasta loving families like mine!

Kitchenaid Pasta Press KSMPEXTA

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the attachment about two months ago and have used it several times. There is always a learning curve with pasta attachments (I also have the flat pasta attachment) but once you determine the correct amount of water to add to your dough it makes fantastic, great tasting spiral pasta. The attachment always leaves a good amount of extra dough as an FYI.

Makes great pasta!

Trying to get the doe just right is difficult. Kitchenaid dosen't tell you about the doe stuck in the different pasta presses. i found out how to get all out on youtube. I guarantee everyone that owns this dosen't know about the hidden doe.

walmart.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I truly love my KitchenAid product line. This accessory is no exception. I just find it would be so much easier if you could put ALL the pieces into the dishwasher for cleaning. There is a note that indicates some pieces need to be hand-cleaned. I like simplicity and would like to throw everything into the dishwasher after preparation.

Also, I would like MORE pasta shapes. Great initial variety, but I'll bet you have some inventive ideas out there!

Quality built - all pieces are sturdy - typical KitchenAid

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's too time consuming and after trying 3 times to make Fusilli I ended up twisting them by hand after cutting them loose.

pasta press

Received this as a wedding gift a couple of days ago.
Broke on the first use. Not sure what to do now.

The dough pusher does not fit properly in the gough nest, and therefore the dough doesn't get sucked into the spiral easily.
Also, there is no way to dismantle this product to release the stuck product. It's expensive and now useless.
Otherwise, a great idea, to have other types of pasta besides straight cuts (spaghetti, fetuccine and so). I hope I can get a replacement.

Great idea, but...
