I have already used this a few times.  Blended veggies for a soup and I plan to try it for a quiche soon.  It is very sturdy and heavy duty compared to other similar brands. The cord was a bit short for the outlet I wanted to use but overall it was fine.  KitchenAid really never disappoints

I purchased this because of the brand not necessarily that I'm a brand loyalist but when compared to other so-called brands that no one has ever heard of I figured I'd at least roll the dice and I rolled a 7, four times in a row.  I think if I would have bought one of those no name brands I might have crapped out on the 1st roll.

Easy pesto and marinade purees

I've been using this for a couple of weeks and it's excellent. It handles shakes, soups, and purees quickly and evenly, and the attachments click on/off securely. Cleanup is simple—most parts rinse clean and don't hold odors. For the price, the performance and build feel solid.

“Powerful, Easy, and Worth It”

This stick blender is very handy.  I have a previous immersion blender that was more powerful, but it was too big for a lot of containers. This one can do a pot of soup and also a milkshake in a regular glass. it is very useful in the kitchen and easy to clean.

Easier to clean and is more quiet to use than models costing 3x as much.  Round cord is easy to clean, body is not excessively tall, meaning you don't need to be 6' plus to easily use and it so much quieter (doing the same job) than a 'hb' model that costs 3x and has an LED display and more speeds.  The limited speeds are just right for what use it for--mainly smoothies and light whipping.  The mixing cup will outlast the mixer, but the mixer's downfall is the rubberized switch (which is easy to repair with permatex water pump gasket-maker RTV if you catch it in time.   Just a simple, inexpensive, well designed device with the accessory you need and not a lot of stuff you don't.  I like the red color as it stands out, but silver is easier to keep clean looking longer.

I bought this to replace a cheaper immersion blender that couldn't handle thicker tasks, and the difference in build quality is immediately apparent. I do a lot of high-precision baking and cooking where consistency matters, and this KitchenAid has become a staple for several reasons:

    Motor Torque: The motor doesn't when moving through heavy soups or slightly thicker sauces.
    Ergonomics: The grip is comfortable for longer sessions, and the weight feels substantial without being fatiguing. It doesn't vibrate in the hand like budget models.
    Cleaning: The blending arm twists off easily and is easy to wash. The stainless steel blade doesn't seem to stain or retain odors.
    Non-Scratch Guard: I appreciate the guard design; I've used it directly in my enameled cast iron and non-stick pots without any scratching.

Overall: It feels like a piece of equipment that will actually last years rather than a single season. Definitely worth the slight price premium over the "no-name" brands.

Robust performance for serious home cooks

While I absolutely love mine and have used it 5x since purchasing mine only seems to have one button and one speed, and one button you hold while using. It's the same
As what the instructions that came with it said. No two speeds here. But other than that it works great. I wish I could turn it on and leave it on until I pressed the button again because holding it does hurt after a while especially when you're trying to make soups extra creamy.

Great for soups!

Love this thing. It has become a staple in my kitchen gadgets, I use it for soups, mayo, homemade chicken bouillon, sauces, etc. it gets the job done for sure. It's a powerful blender, I don't really notice a huge difference between the power settings. It is also very pretty looking, it does not look cheap it looks fancy and it has a good weight to it. I like the cup it includes, thats definitely a plus. It's also pretty easy to clean. 

The reason I took a star is because the button to operate it is kinda hard to press and hold. I have bad inflammation in my hands and holding that button for a long time blending a soup can be difficult/painful for me when I'm flaring up. I do wish that it was easier to press or it would just have a normal on/off switch so it is easier to use for people like me. I also wish it had some sort of storage case or just better way to fix the cord to it during storage. 

All in all, I love it, and I'm glad I purchased it. It gets a lot of use in my house. Just wish it was a little bit easier to operate and store.

It's great, just needs a few tweaks

Purchased this to replace a cheaper model that finally gave out on me after a few years. While I love how quiet the machine is, and that it comes with a blending cup, the blades leave a lot to be desired, and it doesn't puree very well. For the price I expected a stronger performance. It leaves spinach in large chunks.

Puree performance could be better

This is a great quality product. Powerful and well built. Purées beautifully. The problem is the power button is awkward to push down and hold while using. Your thumb will ache if you have to push down this power button for very long. I also wish that it had a rubber guard along the bottom because if you use this blender in any crockpot or nice cookware, it is stainless steel so it will scratch up the bottom. You can really only use it in glass or the plastic container that it comes with the best designed handheld blenders have that rubber guard or something to protect your cookware. I wish it had that and the push button is just an awful design

Poor power button design

Blade does not remove for washing, that I can tell.  It's difficult to keep from cutting your finger while trying to ensure there's no food stuck on the top of the blade.
