Initially I worried about this one due to warnings that it was loud, but the first time I used it I thought, “that's it?” I can use it downstairs in the kitchen in the morning and don't wake anyone upstairs. It looks sharp and streamlined. I love it.

pretty good overall

We have this product and, like others, suddenly it started leaving rust residue from the gear of the jar.  Then the gasket broke.  We only used it to make smoothies and took great care with cleaning and drying.  Very VERY disappointing.  We have not owned it for long.  It used to be that Kitchen aid was the most reliable brand we knew and used.

I bought this KitchenAid blender about 15 months ago and had high hopes since it's pricey but what the heck I thought it was going to last  many years and I deserved a good product. I only used it for simple things like soups and smoothies. Now it's leaking. The problem is just a gasket, but KitchenAid makes it impossible to replace such a simple part. Instead, your only option is to buy an entirely new jar or throw the whole thing away, even though the motor is practically new. Very disappointing design. For the price, I expected durability. Sadly, I cannot recommend this blender.

Waste of money!

I have recently been experiencing what a lot of buyers are experiencing on your website for the Kitchen aid blender.  I purchased my blender a few years ago and have recently had a rust like oil seeping out of the bottom of the blender, as well as on the base and seeping into the blender while making smoothies.  As you can imagine this is of great concern to me for health purposes.  This blender was not cheap and was working fine initially with out issue.  We use this twice a week and only for smoothies and clean the blender promptly.
