Plastic Durability

Can be exceptional, but also prone to inconsistencies.

Can be easy to clean after use, but also difficult due to design.

Frequently purchased as a present to others.

Very nice pasta roller, sturdy and heavy duty, made my first lasagna it went super smooth and easy to use with the stand mixer. Don't go for a no name brand.

Sturdy and heavy

Kitchen Aid

I have had a manual pasta roller for 25 years, which does the job nicely, however Wow! My KitchenAid pasta roller makes making my own pasta sheets so easy. It is so quick and I have two hands to handle the sheet, instead of having one hand turning the handle. Love it so much have purchased one for my daughter. Loving my Kitchaid stand mixer as well.

Fabulous

kitchenaid.com.au

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased this product and I love it so much. I have always preferred making things homemade and I usually make homemade pasta sauce now I am able to make the pasta to go along with it. It is very simple to use and makes making pasta very easy. We make pasta at least once a week now! We are really looking forward to purchasing more products from Kitchenaid.

Great Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently puchased the pasta rollerand have made pasta a couple times and used this roller. It does a great job. I love it. Nothing like fresh pasta. I would, however, recommend buying the cutter attachments at the same as it is cheaper that way. I didn't think I would need them but ended up purchasing them. They work great as well

Pasta roller

It is somewhat unfair to ask for a review after a week or so of receiving an item that one wants to use with joy for years. I have had two marcato atlas pasta machines and for each the rollers lost alignment , ending up unparallel with each other. This caused the pasta sheet to be squashed to one side , especially on thinner settings. I really really hope this will not happen with the kitchenaid attachment. The first two uses were satisfying and a joy to use. Perhaps later I can revise my rating from a three star (sitting on the fence) to a five star rating. Durability is a matter of sustainability. Products that fail also waste a lot of energy and material as well as consumer confidence. I hope kitchenaid will meet the durability test.

So far so good

KA Reviews

Like many others, I've had this several years, using it mostly during the holidays. Last time I noticed the same cracks in the underside plastic rollers as others. This makes a huge difference when you are rolling thinner sheets, as you end up with tears and weirdly stretched out areas. Also agree with others, at this price, it should not be so prone to being worn out with minimal use. Very disappointed!

Great...until the rollers crack.

I love the product. Unfortunately I jammed it and the sacrificial drive shaft connector that is designed to snap and stop the rollers crushing fingers etc did indeed break. All my fault and that should be no problem as three screws are all that is required to be undone to slide out the broken part and replace with a new one.
BUT KitchenAid Australia don't stock the part. They just suggested I buy a whole new roller. Totally unacceptable. I have had to order the part from the US. Really annoying and the people I spoke to were embarrassingly uninformed about heir own products and the role that the part plays in ensuring safety in use of the rollers.

KitchenAid Australia's poor after-sale support

I had this same problem with the pasta roller and the company will not replace it. Also a loyal customer of KA for years, but that loyalty ends here. This product could actually be dangerous if the plastic should break off and end up in food. Shame on you KA for not issuing a recall and a refund for customers who bought this obviously defective product. I'm going to call the consumer safety administration to report this company.

Don't buy from this Company

I bought this roller with the 3-piece set a few years ago, using it maybe twice a year when I have have the time to make homemade pasta. The plastic pieces on the bottom of the roller have cracked in several places, causing the dough to get bunched up, making the rollers useless. Very disappointed in the product

Cheapest part breaks

This pasta roller was very disappointing. Previously, I had a Kitchen Aid pasta roller for at least 20 years. When it finally died I purchased a new roller. My previous roller could thin the pasta to a very thin thickness. After returning two new rollers I am relegated to a substandard roller. The reduction just isn't the same. Might as well buy store made. It's depressing to see the final results on this new roller. I think Kitchen Aid got cheap.

Very disappointing
