[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used previous iterations of the pouring shield and this one is the best by far. The new rubbery bits make the connection to the mixing bowl feel a lot more sturdy and I wasn't worried about breaking it when I removed it. A great addition for any frequent baker

Kitchen Aid

I am very happy with this mixer cover.  It makes it much easier to add flour or other ingredients while mixing.  The first time I used the mixer without the shield I had flour all over the counter.  With this, I still cover the opening with a tea towel and the mess is drastically minimized.  Fits perfect.

KitchenAid Pouring Shield

This fits my KitchenAid Artisan Mixer Bowl but it arrived scratched. I ordered a replacement and the replacement had more scratches and batter on one latch. I kept the original order and returned the replacement. It does work as described.

I would give it 5 stars but I cannot because of the scratches.

I bought this thinking it would be less mess and easier.  Quite the opposite!  It is actually difficult to get flour and other ingredients in the bowl.  I end up with flour going all over.  It's just another piece to store and clean up.  Much easier to put the ingredients directly in the bowl.  I like the idea, but this doesn't work well.
