Bass Depth

Value For Money

Sound Performance

Added the SPL-120 to our living room. Already had a R-12SW. Holy moly. The vented port on the front along with the stronger amp. Much fuller range. It already has better mid range than other 12” subs I've owned. Kind of like a 10” but reaches much lower frequencies. It's a beast too! Weighs around 50 lbs.

Punches like a 10 but has lows of a 12!

klipsch.com

Fantastic Sub. My last Klipsch Sub lasted 20 years! I thought it was great, but this one is crazy good! Very very smooth accurate bass. It's Ported to the front - so when something explodes on TV, you get a woosh of air from the port (my sub is located front and center aimed directly at me). Kinda weird, but kinda cool.

Replacement Sub

I just received my SPL-120 and all I can say is wow! Thunderous base and crisp thumps. It pairs VERY well with the RP-8000F IIs and the RP-504C. My wife was so impressed that she had me order a second one for the other side of the room.

My neighbors have noticed!

My initial configuration has the SPL-120 connected to the Tape 1 output of a 30 year old Carver integrated pre-amp. A Yamaha CD player I recently bought is connected to the Tape 1 input. Two 30 year old Infinity speakers that still sound great are connected to a Carver amplifier that is connected to the standard output of the pre-amp. I just bought the 3-CD all McCartney set and played his first McCartney release. I felt like I was listening to his bass playing for the first time! Now I am looking forward to listening to my music collection again and will be buying a video receiver and try a 5.2 setup that I'm sure will upgrade my movie viewing experience at home.

Great Paul McCartney bass

I have 2 of these, will have 4 before said and done. I have had Klispch subs in the past and knew the SPL-120 would do the job, but it was so good, I grabbed another one for the other room and intend to do the same in a couple other rooms. The adjustments are excellent, the quality is solid and the bass...it carries.

Stellar Subwoofer

I am pairing a SPL120 with a set of vintage Forte IIs. The 120 has deep, tightly regulated response and plays at truly stellar volumes without and distortion or chuffing. I haven't been able to trip it up yet. At low volumes the bass is textured and musical as well. I has a bulletproof feel that my old sub didn't. Good job Klipsch.

Modern regulated bass- love it

The subwoofer sounds great. Room size is 30x17, using a 7.1 surround amp (Denon AVR-X1600H) with sub settings as shown in attached picture. The sound is FANTASTIC!! This sub has/adds the depth from breaking glass to dinosaurs walking. This is a nice investment/addition. Waiting on a sale to buy other speakers.

Booming

I recently upgraded to the SPL-120 and was a little tentative that it was not going to provide enough bass for my home theater. Turns out there was nothing to worry about. I've tried it with movies and a variety of music and it provides tight, accurate bass that fills the room (and shakes the walls and the floors when needed). Love it!

Outstanding Sub

This sub thumps. I have listened to all kinds of genre and I'm impressed.

This sub rocks

When the bass came in while watching a movie trailer, shortly after setting up my new SPL-120, my wife sat up, her eyes got big, and she went "Whoa..." The 120 is the perfect size for our living room setup and I am looking forward to movie nights

The right effect

I went ahead and purchased the best sub that clips made to reinsure quality I've had the sub for less than a week was Playing it on half of gain and it blew
