It has many parts that (please be aware that some are very small) that make your children been creative and exploring new forms.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this KNEX Imagine 4WD Crusher Tank Building Set with 249 Pieces for Ages 7+ for my grown son and his wife, as they both love games and building projects. It took them some time to put this together because of the complexity, and they felt that although it was fun and a great project, a 7 yr old would have difficulty putting this together without some adult participation or supervision. However, it was a lot of fun, and this is a great way for parents to "KNEX" with their kids.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great item for kids who like to build things, especially moving vehicles. There are 249 pieces. It is recommended for ages 7 and up. This is a great toy for not only playing but actually learning about motors and how to make a vehicle move. You can build three (3) different vehicles but only one at a time. Let me tell you those things can climb pretty well, books, rocks, small tree limbs on the ground. It does take two (2) AA batteries which are not included. There are small pieces so if you have younger children you have to watch as they would be a choking hazard. The pieces are easy to use and I have always been a fan of the K'Nex play sets. I have bought a few of them over the years and they have always held up through multiple children playing with them. My grandson is already combining different sets to make his own vehicles. This set having a motor just increases the potential to stimulate a child's imagination. I would not use this in any wet environment. But my grandson has used it on the sidewalk and driveway areas. So yes, I would recommend this toy.

The K'nex building sets are more educational but still just as fun and stimulating. He spent a couple of hours working on this one and had a lot of fun using it after he completed it. The only negative were that that tracks were hard to assemble and keep on the vehicle.

Great alternative to Legos

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids and husband absolutely loved this crusher tank kit. My 14 year old daughter and husband worked together to build this while my 2 and 3 year old sons watched. Given the compact nature of the tank, the small flexible pieces held together very well. The instruction sheet was easy to follow and color coded allowing for a quicker and easier time putting together the final product. My boys just watched in awe as this came together. Once fully constructed, the best part was seeing how it worked. It is still fragile and you need to be careful, but it was able to maneuver over little obstacles we put in its path such as small toys, books, over carpet, up and over some clothing, etc. The younger ones were so excited to see it in action and kept wanting to play with it, but you have to keep in mind it is fragile and will break apart very easily. It was a great STEM activity for our teenager and husband to work through and not only did they enjoy the time working together, it put their minds and hands to work! Great to inspire a future builder:)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Two 9 year old boys and one K'nex Tank Set = absolute excitement. This, like other K'nex items, is so much more than a model. When the assembly is done, the fun begins. This set actually gives you the ability to make 3 different vehicles and it comes with a motor. From someone like me who grew up with Hot Wheels and Tonka trucks, this is really great. The two kids haven't put the set away yet - 4 hours after opening it.

Another awesome K'nex item

I wish Knex was compatible with LEGOS as they would complement each other. Otherwise, a great buy and always impressed.

Great way for kids to learn engineering

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this K'NEX Tank Building Set from the Spark Reviewer Program. I picked this set because it's made for ages 7-12 year olds. My 11 year old son worked on this by himself for a while. Towards the end he realized he had accidentally skipped a step, 2 different times. he said the instructions could've been a little better, and the illustrations could've been bigger. I agree. I helped him finish this one. You definitely have to have patience! This is more challenging than Legos. But when we finished, my son was happy with it and thought it was fun. I would definitely recommend K"NEX to anyone, but maybe sit with your child and do it together.

Good quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great idea but is missing a lot of key ideas. The instructions were very limited and only provided directions to one of three different models. The tank only goes forward or backwards and doesn't stop when running into objects and then breaks when it does. This would be a great idea if it were a remote controlled tank so you hand more control over it.
