[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The boys had a wonderful time putting this together. It took them about two and half hours. They did pretty good at putting it together by themselves until the end and then it took me putting a few pieces together to complete it. I believe it was because the instructions weren't clear on where some of the pieces went. They are still playing with it and it gave the boys something to do together.

Fun Building Educational Toy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son is a huge fan of building kits. From rollercoasters to cars and trucks, he's a huge fan of setting things up to perfection. He's also a huge fan of trucks and tanks, so I was incredible jovial to find this product. With this building kit, your child gets an opportunity to be creative and use their imagination. It comes with 249 pieces and can be set into 3 separate vehicles. The design is fun and a great way to encourage children to enjoy STEAM as well, which is science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. My son is a huge fan of the engineering section specifically, which makes this toy excellent for him. This building set is very safe and has amazing quality as well. I highly recommend it!

Convenient and educational

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Two 9 year old boys and one K'nex Tank Set = absolute excitement. This, like other K'nex items, is so much more than a model. When the assembly is done, the fun begins. This set actually gives you the ability to make 3 different vehicles and it comes with a motor. From someone like me who grew up with Hot Wheels and Tonka trucks, this is really great. The two kids haven't put the set away yet - 4 hours after opening it.

Another awesome K'nex item

We've always had roller coaster designs or some kind of theme park ride. So, having a K'nex toy that can move around the house has made for some exciting adventures. I'm a huge fan of toys that require everyone to pitch in and help build. It's a good family time activity that we can all enjoy. My kids range from four to eleven and they all love to help build it. Once we got it put together, the boys had it rolling and climbing all over the place. It's definitely been one of the most played with K'nex toys we've had in our home. Great toy! Lots of fun!

K'nex Never Disappoints!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was a little confusing and a little overwhelming at first, my son loves to play with Legos and Mrga Bloks this time the shape and amount of pieces was really big.. but if you take your time and read the intruccions and see the pictures with details it's amazing once you start seeing the results... my son loves it and we can spend all day building so it like a smart way to spend time and learn together.

Smart game

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this K'NEX Tank Building Set from the Spark Reviewer Program. I picked this set because it's made for ages 7-12 year olds. My 11 year old son worked on this by himself for a while. Towards the end he realized he had accidentally skipped a step, 2 different times. he said the instructions could've been a little better, and the illustrations could've been bigger. I agree. I helped him finish this one. You definitely have to have patience! This is more challenging than Legos. But when we finished, my son was happy with it and thought it was fun. I would definitely recommend K"NEX to anyone, but maybe sit with your child and do it together.

My 8 year old son loves to build. he loves legos, tinker toys, straws and connectors and anything else with pieces you can put together. This was an easy build for him. He finished it in one day. Unfortunately one of the pieces broke while he was man-handling his new tank. This KNex tank is not made for real play but more for just building and traveling. But he still thinks it's really cool. he thinks the best part is the motor. This tank has traveled all around my house over door saddles and from tile to wood to carpet. It even carried a couple of Imaginext and lego guys through the house. My son was thrilled that he could put his 'guys' on the tank and make them go around the house. I looked up the price of this tank and I think it's definitely worth it. I gave it four stars because I think it should be a little more durable for the age group it's targeted for. I still think this is a great toy and would recommend it.

Great for boys that love to build

My grandson is 3yrs old , the game says the child needs to be 7yrs to play the game. . I will definitely keep it until he has reached that age.He likes putting things together. I know he will love this game too.

Good quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a cool science set to learn a little about motors and how motors transfer energy/movement to tracks and wheels. I wish it looked more like a tank. My kiddo would be more interested in it if it did. However, between the pieces in this set and her other k'nex machine sets, she should have enough pieces to build something on her own. She loves other brick based building sets, but having the ability to make things with more moving parts will be more fun for her. I wish k'nex and brick-building kits where compatible so she could combine both. She will have fun with this, but had I not gotten it free thru Spark review program, I would not have bought it. It's fun, but has room to improve.

Wish the tank had a more vehicle like body

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great idea but is missing a lot of key ideas. The instructions were very limited and only provided directions to one of three different models. The tank only goes forward or backwards and doesn't stop when running into objects and then breaks when it does. This would be a great idea if it were a remote controlled tank so you hand more control over it.
