I was skeptical at first about the building experience with this case, having read disappointing reviews for Kopplen's other case, the Z3. However, I was pleasantly surprised (expect for some minor points) by the building experience. The installation was pretty standard, and no issues are present at this point. I mostly want to talk about the minor nitpicks and specifications for future builders. The case doesn't come with a manual, so I was very confused as to how to connect the case fans: it comes with 3 ARGB fans that connect directly to the corresponding header on my motherboard, or to nothing at all. The case comes assembled with the fans daisy-chained together, with a dangling ARGB connect to plug into the motherboard. If you don't plug them in the motherboard, they seek to have a default profile. There is a case button for the fans, but I haven't figured out its use yet. The fans are also molex-controlled, so I would advise picking up an additional 120 mm fan for the rear as an exhaust. I also had trouble minor with the IO shield, but that's not the case's fault. Knowing that the company's Z3 case sees to have issue with the IO shield, I probably over analyzed its placement on the K9. The trick is knowing that the IO shield does not sit flush with the back of the case; its bracket is ressed. The last thing I want to talk about is the tempered glass panel. When you uncrew the glass panel, the rubber growmlets are not strong enough to hold it in place. That means that moving and putting on the glass panel must be done with the case on its side. That's troublesome when building since if you have both panels off, it can be difficult to lay it on it's side with cables dangling on the other side.

Underpromise, overdeliver

Avoid buying the Kooplen K9 if you want to install a AIO cooler. The top mount for 240mm AIO is not working at all. The rad or fans will touch the motherboard VRM cooler, the 8 pin CPU power connector cable will also block any rad installation. IO shield installation is also tricky. Front panel connector cables feels really cheap and the fans are also very low quality. The case was very poorly designed. Installating fans or AIO cooler on top = not possible with any gaming motherboard.
