[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very useful tool for making accurate cuts with your circular saw. This is made well, it's heavy duty aluminum,not flimsy. My dad has one of these and he loves it,he said, you'll never make a mistake cutting again and it's very easy to use. You will have a straight,accurate and spinter free cut. This can be used for rip cuts,cross cuts and angled cuts or any angle. I like that you can use this with a left or right blade saw. This track makes up to 48 inches cut. It has a universal sled, precision saw track guides the saw easily along your cut line. I like that it has an anti-chip and anti- slip strips that create splinter free cuts and hold track without clamps.There are 2 tracks and each are 26.5 inches long. It also has a starting block that aligns and supports your saw. This is not recommended for saws with a plastic upper blade guide. This product is made in the USA. I recommend it because it makes your projects alot easier with accurate cuts.

I am a self proclaimed DIY-er, and will try anything that might make my work easier, less time consuming and look better. It goes out about 48 inches which was short for my pergola boards, but my supports I was using made me have to shift my board anyways so I just readjusted from the other end of the board and it lined up perfectly. I had never tried anything put out by Kreg, but this apparatus is life changing for someone like me. When I got it I was in the process of building a pergola and not being very good at math I spent a lot of time measuring again and again to make sure I was doing it right. I was drawing lines all over my boards and literally making a mess of them. The thing eliminated so much of that nonsense. You simply align the saw in the guide, clamp it to the track line op the track with your tiny marks (like you would with a ruler) and it guides your saw all way without moving or shifting. So easy! The guide eliminates the splintering on some woods also. Being a DIY-er I don't tend to buy the expensive stuff so that was a true bonus for me. I wasn't sure about the no clamping part, but it never budged when I was using it. Since then I have started a bookshelf and have the parts I need to make a desk. I am no longer dreading some parts of the process because this product takes away a lot of the hassle. I will definitely be investing in other Kreg products.

Assembly was simply attaching the two pieces to create the cutting rail. The circular saw gets attached by screwing it onto the sled. Use is very simple as it is designed to set up by aligning the track with the cut line. There are guide strips that hold the track in place and an anti-slip coating. This can also be used to make cuts on material that does not have a flat edge. There is an anti-chip feature that prevents splintering also. It breaks down easily enough to be quite portable.

The Kreg Accu-Cut would work for beginners. It would be a great help for someone who does not work in the trade but has household projects they want to tackle on their own. Professionals will benefit too by being able to rip right through their material without having to worry about following the cut line on their own.

Overall I would recommend this product for any individual who finds themselves in need of a quick and easy way to cut most type of materials. I have used it with paneling, flooring planks, plywood and composite material with great results.

Greatest saw accessary!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] if you like to do personal projects involving wood, then this will come in really handy, the acu-cut will help you to make straight cuts.
As long as you already own a circular saw, you can take your saw and turn it into a rail system that will accurately make straight cuts, it comes in 2 pieces which are the rail, and the sled. The sled is like a base, this part attaches directly to your circular saw with the help of two screws. The rail system is made of aluminum and at the bottom of the track, there are pads to help keep the rail in place while you are making cuts so it doesn't move it looks like the length of the rail is around 50 inches. 
it was very easy to use because there is a starting block to help align everything base enters the rail system and the pad on the bottom of the rail did a great job holding it in place while using it.
I think this will be very handy for the man that likes to work with wood now and then. So, Yes I would recommend this product as I find it really easy to use.

Easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I had had something like this a long time ago when I had re-boarded my current front porch and boxed it in. Though you can be pretty accurate as is, not having a permanent set up and only using hand tools can be a little off. Something like this set up is super helpful. It was my first time using anything like this and it was well worth it. It is super portable and easy to use. I can use it on or off site. Often I am using my tools out in the yard or in my small storage building depending on the weather. 
I did have a bit of trouble getting it set up and attached to one of my saws, but it fit perfectly with my other. Once set up it was really easy to use and glided along perfect for me. The guild rails didn't slide or wiggle for me, so my lines were perfect every time. It's for sure a good middle ground between hand tools and mounted equipment, with the mobility and accuracy of both! I would definitely recommend it for someone to try out. It worked great for me and my project.

This helped so much

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been around and used power tools most of my life, but I am not, nor have I ever been a professional. I am what most people call a DIYer. My most recent project is making a King's Table set with my 16 year old son. There is a lot of cutting and it is extremely important that the cuts have straight edges. This is not a case of being close enough gets it! As a result an accurate edge cutting tool was a must for the first time in my life. 
The Accu-Cut is a bit of a pain to set up the first time. You must follow the directions precisely. The last step before you can actually use it calls for you to cut the bumper off the edge of the track. At first, I thought either I was misreading the directions or they were crazy; but then I realized that cutting the edge off would indeed create a perfectly straight edge despite the fact that you screw the track together in the center.
After the initial set up though...WOW! What a great tool! It is so easy to set it up on a piece of wood and cut it. You can remove the saw from the sled to use it free style and then put it back exactly where it goes on the sled thanks to a stop that you set. Also, you don't need anything but a screwdriver to attach the boot of the saw to the sled of the Accu-Cut. 
The only other thing I would mention is that the instructions recommend that you use a circular saw with a metal upper blade guard. I wish that I knew this before I got it as I only have a plastic guard saw. I have gone ahead and used it and it works just fine but I probably wouldn't have got it if I had known that detail.

A pain to set up but worth it!

I love DIY projects for my home and recently we took on the huge task of replacing all bedroom, hallways and closet floors. I'm confident in 99% of the skills necessary to be successful. However, my shortcoming is straight lines. I'm telling you, I was so relieved to find out that there is an accessory when combined with our skill saw will deliver not only straight lines but angels as well! 

I'm not a carpenter, just a very ambitious person who loves to knock out projects ...so the following is solely based on my experience.

• Very easy to set up (5 1/2 skill saw) nice snug fit & guide works like a charm. I did experience a little sliding, however, that can easily be resolved with a couple of clamps on both ends. 
• Absolutely love the guide. Again, straight lines are not my strong point but the assistance of the tracks help reduce my anxiety & stress and my lines turned out great. 
• Just a heads up we're working with vinyl plank - Lines are nice, clean & most important straight. 
• When laying the floors we have had to cut strips that were approximately 2 to 3 3/4 inches wide and the full length of plank- No problems with the Kreg KMA2700. 
• Angles - I have a fireplace that required angle cuts to get around - Easily knocked out.

I'm sure there many more things i'm missing but it basically boils down too... I'm extremely happy with my Kreg KMA2700 it has been very beneficial during this project and I definitely plan on taking advantage of it for my future projects.

Excellent Helper!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this thing works well making a straight line, but there are a couple things you need to know before buying this, that I was not aware of, and I would have liked to know before I did. lets start at assemble. the directions are pretty straight forward, about seven or so steps to get started. it can mount left or right hand saws, and it doesn't matter what side your saw motor is on either. it also does not matter if your saw has a curved edge on the metal plate around the blade or not. all that is compensated for with this tool. the track is easy to assemble and is made to be able to be taken apart for storage. it also can be used with the kreg Rip-cut so if you have that you can use it, it's not included. the rubber tracks hold it in place so no movement is possible, the saw glides smoothly on the track as well. you will have to trim the track before use. and after that the saw blade should be set at 1/8 inch. okay here's what they don't say, the very first thing in the directions is that your saw should have a metal upper guard not a plastic. because the blade could move a little and you might not get a straight cut. well I used a plastic, it seemed to cut pretty straight. the other thing they leave out till the end of assemble is that this works best with a 40 tooth saw. well what the heck?? why did you tell me this last? I have an 18 tooth saw, I am not buying one just for this thing. I couldn't cut through a little piece of 2 by 4 with my saw. okay this is what I take away, I thought this would be great to use on site areas, but maybe my miter saw is still the best to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Kreg KMA2700 Accu-Cut was selected through the Wal Mart Spark Reviewer Program in exchange for my honest opinion. This is great for some crafting projects I wanted to do. The first one was to get the Welcome wood sign to place outside my front door. Cutting plywood has just become the easiest thing to do ever with this handy little tool. When I got it I was like what am I suppose to do with this and now I have to purchase the saw to go with this. Seems to be compatible with most saws so if you have one, I would recommend you trying to connect that one before purchasing a new one. It is super easy to use. Look out Home Depot, you aren't needed for simple, small projects any longer. Not with this handy tool that is. There are guide slips and anti-slip coating so there is no need to worry about either of those things happening In my opinion, the guide is needed and useful, helps keep things neat and straight so why not. Seems to be portable so therefore moving it from place to place should not be an issue nor should storing it either. Definitely, recommend.

The track itself is good: definitive build, stays in place with friction alone, doesn't get out of alignment. The same cannot be said of the sled. I do not recommend.
