The Drawer Slide Jig takes the guesswork out of installing drawer slides. This easy-to use jig holds slides in position as you drill mounting holes in the cabinet, and it supports drawer boxes while mounting slides to the drawer. Plus, the Jig works with ball-bearing, epoxy-coated, and undermount slides for perfect positioning every time. The Drawer Slide Jig simplifies drawer installation by aligning slides in the cabinet and on the drawer. Built-in tabs make the jig easy to align to support the slide inside the cabinet, and to support the drawers as you attach the slides to them. The jig is simple to use, and it ensures that every drawer fits right and operates smoothly. Whether you’re updating cabinets or you’re building a project from scratch, mounting drawers is always a challenge. The slides have to be level, straight, and positioned properly, or the drawers won’t operate well. The Drawer Slide Jig takes the guesswork out of the process by indexing with the cabinet frame (or side on frameless cabinets) for perfect alignment. The jig supports the drawer slide level and straight while you install it in the cabinet. Then, the jig clamps on so it protrudes from the cabinet to support the drawer while you drive screws into the drawer box. With this jig, you’ll know that your slides are positioned correctly, so your drawers will operate smoothly. The Drawer Slide Jig consists of two brackets that clamp in place inside the cabinet—one on each cabinet side—and align with the cabinet face frame (or with designated marks on frameless cabinets) to support the drawer slide as you drill mounting holes. The brackets are also reversible to protrude from the cabinet, and then clamp in place perfectly aligned to support the drawer as you mount the slides to the drawer box, too. This tool made it super easy for my husband to install a pull out rack for my pots and pans. We recently moved and had a tall cabinet to store all our pots and pans. In our previous house, we had a pull out drawer which made life so much easier. This product came at a perfect time to assist us in adding a pull out drawer in our new kitchen. Thank you, Kreg!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Kreg KHI-SLIDE r slide mounting tool is a great tools to used when you're the only one doing the job. My daughter's chest had all the drawer rails broken or bent. I bought the rails and with the Kreg KHI-SLIDE r it was so easy to mark the locations of the rails. The only other extra tool you'll need is a pair of clamps to clamp the Kreg slide mounting tool. I didn't need anyone to help me hold the rails in place as it's a tight space anyway. Once you do a couple, you'll get the hang of it and work faster. I definitely recommend this to any do-it-yourself wood worker and professionals.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Kreg KHI-SLIDE r Slide Mounting Tools is a guiding and support tool to ease the installment of cabinet drawers. We used this tool to help us rebuild and install one of our kitchen cabinets that my husband could not get quite right. This tool is a good idea for people who do not have much experience building or fixing a drawer or need extra support and precision for those difficult to install drawers. I wanted to take a picture of it while my husband was building the new drawer for my kitchen cabinets, but he was done faster than I anticipated, and I could not grab my camera fast enough. I never witness my husband using one of these tools before, he used it to show me how it worked for the purpose of this review. For what I could see, and my husband's testimony, this tool does make the installation of drawers easier.

Perfect for DIYers

I bought these because I wanted to replace existing flush set file cabinet drawers with full extension slides. Unfortunately they don't work as well in this situation. I did use them to to help hold the middle and upper cabinet slide and shims...so it wasn't completely worthless on this project. I will keep them and use them on a new build in the future.
