I spray paint household items pretty frequently to get them to a color that matches or coordinates with its surroundings. I'm pretty lazy about preparing surfaces that I spray paint.  I used this spray paint on old straw basket without any preparation to the surface of the basket and it still turned out beautifully. It was easy to get an even coating to completely cover the original light straw color. I don't dry spray paint between coats. I just keep spraying until the item is covered to my satisfaction.  The spray paint on the basket dried quickly with flawless finish with no dripping marks.
 I do follow directions carefully in shaking the can for the amount of time directed. I spray paint in my garage with the garage door open when there is no breeze.

I used this on a set of four wheeler rims and they turned out great. I used etching primer first and then this and I was really impressed.

this gold paint is really nice. it looks like actual metal trim.  it goes on smoothly and finishes bright and metallic.

About as good as chrome paint can get for now.  You can get a nice polished silver look if you spray horizontally and lay down a heavy coat that pools and self levels.  Probably more of a challenge to make that happen on a vertical or non-flat surface.

I generally trust Krylon products; this was a disappointment.
Rather than a smooth metallic silver, it was more of a spray glitter in an extremely thin silvery spray. 
coverage was sparse until you got close enough to show the "too close" marks or drips.
YES we shook the cans long and repeatedly. 
One raw wood piece covered slightly better than cardboard or other surfaces. But we were left with an unpleasantly gritty surface.
My grandson was so disappointed his items did not cover well.

Paint initially came out clear although it had been shaken. After shaking extremely hard for several minutes color eventually started coming out. Coverage was horrible and sporadic

Spray Paint

"The color doesn't match the cap at all—it's more of a lighter desert sand shade with a subtle metallic flake. That said, it applies smoothly and dries fairly quickly, which is a plus.

Meh color

I was very disappointed with this spray paint.  It is NOT the color of the lid (as it states in the item description and on the can)!  It's more of a dull tan (see photo).  It's not really even metallic .  I could not use it for the project I had in mind, so it was a complete waste of time %26 money.
