 Now, if Walmart would take the 2nd $286.98 charge off my checking account, i'd be much happier. it works well, but at double the price, i'd like ice cubes flying across the room!

Really nice unit. I was leery about buying what I consider to be an “off-brand” but it's working like a horse! I live in N Louisiana and the heat and humidity here are terrible, but it's cooling like a champ. I keep my room very cold, but since I upgraded to this unit I've had to turn the temp up twice! It got TOO cold! It has all the bells and whistles of a more expensive unit…remote and app. I haven't used the app yet. It IS meant for a window that opens UP. My window opens to the side so I had to do some serious innovative engineering to get it in my window securely. But I'm quite glad I bought it. If it develops a problem any time in the next year I will update, but I don't expect it to be necessary!

We bought this air conditioner to replace an older one that was noisy. This one is quieter, and cools MUCH better! I've only used it one day but so far it is doing great! 
Some people have complained of noise, but all air conditioners make noise... compared to our old one, this one is much better.

Nice air conditioner for the price. Brought it for garage to keep cool on hot days. It will  cool it down easily.  The dogs love the cold air on hot days. Easy to install. Only issue was the side curtains. You have to insulate them if you are going to leave it mounted. I cut up a car window sun visor, the silver plastic bubble type and taped it in with metal tape.  This way it keeps the heat out on hot days. it is easy to operate in all modes.

Purchased for my son's home. It cools the living room and kitchen of his single-wide trailer (an older rental).  The ECO mode works really well, as it does not come on as often, and yet maintains the 72 degree temps.  It is spring, and the temps outside are in the upper 70s to upper 80s.  I will update this review in the summer heat. My son is a paralyzed veteran, whose life is ran on wheels (of his wheelchair). Having the remote saves him from having to roll around furniture to reach the window.  The iPhone/Android APP is also great, as he can control the AC when he is at the VA or away from home.  So far he is very pleased,  which means his mom is pleased as well!

We bought the same air conditioner years ago so we like this brand.. it's really cold and it cuts off like it suppose to do.. noise level is really low..

i have 4 window units in my house on the main level it was a 6000 btu in my livingroom and a old 1978 ac unit that was 11,900 btu and outperformed all my other units upstairs i have a mobile ac on wheels thats 8000 btu and in my bedroom jpstairs a 5000 btu this new ktaxon acoutperforms my best ac i have i had never heard of the brand before but i liked fhe price for the btu output and so far this works perfect for me i plan to buy a 2md one to replace the 2 units upstairs. Definitely 5 atars this unit is awesome.

I live in Texas and have bought and installed a lot of window units in my life. I gave this one a chance bc it was a 12000btu with decent reviews but I definitely regretted this purchase. It started making noises by the end of the first week and my electric bill went from about $6 a day to $15 a day with this being the only change and it was set in the 70s and not running the entire time too.

I returned this needless to say. I can't imagine what my bill would have been once summer got here and whether it would have helps up with the noises it started making.

The air conditioner itself is nice looking I like the remote but it does not get that cold also it has a very loud grinding almost noise that is very annoying. I have better cooling from a smaller btu air conditioner for cheaper than $500. I am not happy honestly.

Well since you are emailing me daily for a review,  here ya go.  I bought it because i found at what i felt was a good price.  And because it's not a/c weather YET.  But wanted to be prepared.  So there's your review. I shopped, bought,  it was shipped quickly, and now it waits, patiently,  for hot weather.
