Purchased a few years ago, recently I had another door handle starting to hang up -stick opening and closing and Kwikset was great on replaceing it. So I was looking on the website and had seen that it also warranties its finish also, so I also had this one replaced at no charge. Was impressed on this because I live in Florida and due to heat-etc it had faded and was prepared to go out and purchase a new one and was surprised that it was covered. Can't say enough good things about their customer service and products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this product for many years on my front entry door. When I called Kwikset about a slight problem I was having with the interior mechanism, they sent me a complete new set, free of charge. I never expected this as it was so old. (I just called for technical help.) The old unit's exterior, with its classy, simple lines, was still in excellent condition, with no signs of wear or corrosion. Although there was a minor internal problem, I installed the handle as a "dummy" on the exterior of my side door to my garage. My neighbor always comments about my beautiful handle on my side garage door.

Elegant Simple Design

We outfitted our new home with Kwikset locksets and interior handles in 2006. They have held up very well. We have had a warranty issue, which was resolved quickly with a replacement sent free of charge! I can't say enough good things about this company.

Excellent Product

I had bought a Chelsea Entry Handleset with lifetime warranty and unfortunately it wore out with wear on multiple parts of the latch mechanism.  I provided pictures via internet link and replacement parts were promptly provided.    I am very satisfied with the warranty and the friendly and helpful service provided by the service agent.

Looks Great!

Purchased this 2 years ago for our newly purchased home. It was never sturdy and screws always had to be tightened every 6 months. It finally fell apart when the kids were trying to enter the home and it completely fell apart. Call Kwikset, and they replaced it, but my trust of the security is not great. Below was a photo I had to submit for replacement parts.

I bought this item about a year ago, and was happy I did not have to buy any new keys for my door. It worked very well until last night. My son went out to walk the dog and he says dad I can't lock the door. I tried all the keys I have none of them worked. I tried using the key set it would not go in. We were to leave for the night so I had to go to the store and buy another lock device so that the house would be secure. I am only glad that it happened on trying to lock the door and not coming back trying to get into the house and the key not working.

The problem with them is the finish. On my exterior door locks it turns light brown and starts to peel in about six months in the Texas sun. I am going to install my third set of handles when I paint the doors this Spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lock is OK. . .Finish not so good!!!

Got Chelsea with new home.... handle only worked for the first year at best.  Fixed multiple times.  Called this 2018 and was offered a new Chelsea handle and deadbolt.  It came within days and was soon installed.  Guess what -- same thing -- it only worked one week.  Problem is when the thumb plate is depressed, the lock will not move, therefore door will not open.  Dead bolt is fine so I feel safe when home but cannot open door from the outside at all.  This is so frustrating---living alone and don't feel I have easy access to my home.  Have been locked out getting the mail when door closes!  Don't know if another one would make any difference.  I don't know your policy but this needs replaced with a functional lock again and possibly upgraded to a better model that is dependable.
