Installing this by myself was a little awkward but totally doable. Re-keying the lock was super easy and Iwas literally done in seconds.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Most of the doors in my home are wood made in the 1950s. I also have wood ceilings and most of the trim is wood, unpainted, with two rooms being all wood. The Juno Hall/Closet Knob in Venetian Bronze blends in perfectly! The knob was easy to install even with having to widen the hole in the door.  This will be the last door knob on this door.

Bought today. I consider myself handy and can do or fix anything. Installing this Juno Kwikset security knob was difficult. The outside knob must mate with the inside knob and then the two longer screws attach it together. 
1. Screws are undersized in length and diameter for this job. 
2. The alignment for starting to thread the screws is close to impossible on first 10 attempts.
3. Some engineer should try it. If one screw is stared the other is hard to align with the reception hole. 
This is frustrating and worthy of telling you. Please look into it.

Needs testing by a qualified person. Please fix it

I've always had good luck with Kwikset door knobs until now. The basic knob is good, heavy constuction. I like the Smartkey feature, very easy to re-key for existing knobs. The cover for the knob, inside and out just falls off. This is the part that actually contacts the door. I could not return to store, I had to install it to secure my house. I used a punch were it is supposed to catch the main body of the knob and tap it lightly (because it's very thin) to tighten it up so it stays in place.

Poor Craftsman ship

I purchased a Juno Dummy knob to match existing knobs in a room. And all I have to say is that the Juno series mounting design horrible. Since the knobs are not removable, the instructions imply that a screwdriver can go straight in to engage the screw. Fat chance on that (reference my attached picture). Since it requires you to tighten the screws at an angle there is absolutely no ability to tighten the screw without camming out the screw (unless you drill a vastly oversize pilot hole. At least get rid of the philips and supply a torx or allen head screw so that an installer could use a ball head driver

It was difficult to install to begin with but finally did with customer service help.  Here's the problem:  once you twist on the handle to catch the screws, it's impossible to actually tighten them as they are located under the handle.  Now maybe someone out there makes a phillips head screw driver with an off-set handle to use on these but if they do, it would be nice it the instructions said you needed one.  I can manage to open the door without the handle falling off but my son and his friends can't.  I have to put it back on 2 or 3 times a day.  Thank god I kept the old deadbolt on the door so I can really lock it at night.  Very sad customer.

HUGE disappointment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 3 Juno knobs (1 Keyed, 1 Hall/Closet and one that connects to an exterior latch). The look and the finish matches other doorknobs in my home so I thought they would be great.  However, the installation was unnecessarily difficult due to very poor design. 

If the screws that secure the knob to the door aren't screwed in exactly right, the knob falls off during use. It wasn't possible to use a screw driver of any size to tighten the screws after the knob was attached. 

It's difficult to describe the problem. The interior knob and faceplate come attached to one another as a single unit. The screws are attached to the opposite knob and pass through the latching mechanism. To install, one has to snag the screws with the faceplate and twist the knob to lock it in place. Because there is no way of knowing exactly how far to screw in the screws I had to repeat the process over and over again until I finally gave up. The doorknobs are functional but I fully expect them to fall off again. The knob on the exterior latch set is wobbly and leaks cold air. Not a happy camper.

Very difficult to install

The length of the handle is not long enough for the screwdriver to engage the phillips head screws with out strippng the heads of the screws.  Sad, I have 7 more to install.  Seriously considering just returning them and getting a different brand.

Poor Design

I installed this in an entry door between the garage and house.  It worked fine until without warning the latch jammed.  The know would turn but the latch would not retract.  Code required a solid door with spring return hinges so the door could not be removed by pulling hinge pins.  Removing the knobs and prying the pull mechanism did not work.  Credit card trick was not an option in this situation. I was finally forced to remove the trim moldings and nibble and saw away the shims and nails so that the jam could be pried away from the door, releasing the latch.  After a frustrating hour I was able to get the door open and remove the latch mechanism.  Not at all happy with this product.

Worked Fine Until It Broke

I have spent quite a while trying to install this doorknob. It should not be that difficult. The directions are terrible and are pretty much worthless. I now have a $20 paperweight and no doorknob. Awesome.
