I have coloured my hair for years but never tried a root touchup before. I finally tried this one and it was perfect. Totally covered my greys. I used AI to find the right colour to match my dye colour.

Great Touchup

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only have a few grey hairs, so I really wasn't excited to try this product out. However, I will say it covered the few grey hairs that I do have & it was very simple. The instructions made it so easy for me because I have NEVER did any type of home coloring before.

I used this product for these first time last night and I am so pleased with the results. I have dark brown hair and caramel highlights and usually have to go to the salon for a root touch up every 4 weeks. I have a lot of gray hair in my hair line and part, the (Dark Brown 4) not only blended perfectly with my existing color but also covered my gray like a champ. I much prefer this applicator to nice and easy's blue brush, it is a lot less messy and better color match up. I did the roots on the entire top half of my hair and still had plenty left in the bottle, so I know that I could do all of my roots with one bottle which is great. I am so happy with this product, its quick easy and gets the job done!!! My busy life and wallet thank you. (Oh and I didn't use the gloves by choice but what little color that did get on my hands washed off and did not stain my skin.)

I think i'm in love!!!

My medium brown highlighted hair grows fast.  I usually have 80% gray hairs showing within two weeks of getting it professionally colored, the majority being where I part my hair.  I have tried ALL of the well-known permanent root touch-up brands, only to be disappointed.  Both of the most popular ones I have tried turned my gray roots orange.  I figured I would give L'Oreal Paris Magic Root Rescue and I'm so glad I did.  It completely covers my gray roots and it blends well with my hair color.  I leave it on for a full 20 minutes to ensure coverage.  In the past, I have used a level 5 root touch-up for my hair as this is the color level recommended for my hair color.  I changed to a level 4 for dark brown hair and it works much better than a level 5, it is not too dark at all.  If you've tried everything with not so good results I suggest you give L'Oreal Paris Magic Root Rescue a try.  I attached a picture, the lighting in my bathroom is not that great and there's a lot of reflection but hopefully you can see the coverage.

The BEST root touch-up!

This product is so easy to use my husband did my touch up for me because we are currently traveling and I am away from my stylist! I have a lot of hair and there was enough product to easily do the coverage. It took him longer to apply so I probably had the product on for at least 30 min with no issue. He even picked out the shade at the drugstore:) He held up the sample shade on the box next to my hair.

Easy to use and effective

I have been coloring my gray roots for years with this product.  It has worked beautifully for me.  My hair is naturally dark blonde.  I use the medium blonde in the front and the dark blonde in the back.  My hair looks highlighted and I am very pleased.  my hair is about 70% gray in front.  Love this product.

I've been a long time user of this product but have now experienced twice where the color in the box is red so I wind up throwing it away. I bought 2 boxes recently both from the same store and have attached a picture to show the difference in color when I went to use them.  Why would the colors be different? I don't like throwing away money and have now had to toss 2 boxes like this.

#9 color variance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought number 8 and used it following thebinstruction, but the color went away as soon as I rinse my hair even though on the instruction it said to rinse after 10 minutes the color went away, so I bought the product and did not benefit from it.

Did not color

I have used L'Oréal 10 minute root coloring kit many times. This time, very disappointing. I use Dark Blonde (7), but when I mixed it together , it was almost black color. I used it anyway thinking it might be a new formula. Well, did not cover any of my gray! Very disappointing! Probably won't buy again! I love the 10 minute feature, but not anymore for me!

Disappointed customer

I was going to use my blonde root rescue tonight…the same one I have used for years…and to my surprise (not in a good way) the color was RED! Thank goodness I have use this many times before; otherwise, I would've ended up with red roots and blonde hair. This is not acceptable. And the worst part is I bought it a couple months ago and I don't even have a receipt to return it.
