Loreal cream

I received this as a gift And this cream is performing tiny miracles on my face!! I have suffered with adult acne (it sucks) so naturally I have scars from the blemishes. I also live in Manitoba. .. so minus 40.. for 6 months out of the year. This year in particular has dried out my skin terribly and I've been l9ok in for a cream that not only worked but didn't irritate my face. I'm now using the loreal Paris Hydra Total 5 skin hydra even mosturizer and my face , neck (and hands) feel and look amazingggg, and ive only used the product for a short period of time. I highly recommend this mositurizer to anyone who wants to improve their complexion while hydrating thir face at the same time.

Minus 40 never felt so good!

Very good moisturizer cream. Using last 2 years

I almost feel like it tightens my skin. It also leaves some sort of white flaking residue but you can wipe off. The texture is more thick. Overall it seems nice. It seems to block the pores....

Interesting

This night cream is pretty thick but absorbs really fast. If your skin is even remotely dry though, this isn't for you. I had to put on another moisturizer an hour after this one.

Pretty good moisturizer

I was given this product free to review and used this after using the scrub and toner of the same line for 2+ weeks. I am not a big fan of this product because every time I apply it on my face, it left a white cast. Because I have brown skin and I don't wear make up often, if I were to apply this before going out, I would look as if I were sick.
Another issue I had is that the formula was thick yet it wasn't moisturizing. I had really noticeable dry patches on my cheeks that weren't being helped by this moisturizer. So I would not recommend this product to anyone looking for a very moisturizing formula to help deal with the winter weather. But it might be a great one for anyone that doesn't have dry skin since it is quite quick in absorbing into the skin and doesn't feel heavy or greasy.
Also a note, they warn you not to put this around your eye area, but because I can't help but rub lotion all over my face, I did end up getting some around my eye and it really burnt. So I do hope anyone reading this heeds my advice on this.

It was an okay product for my skin type

Skin feels moisturized but the cream leaves a bright white residue which like another reviewer stated, gives you a clown face appearance.  If it absorbed properly I would rate it much higher.

[Employee of walmartcanada] I have tried a lot of face moisturizers, and this is one of the worst. It just sits on the skin, and has a really strong smell. Also L'oreal tests on animals, so your better off looking at brands like live clean that have better products, and are cheaper. #hydrationworks #5best

Not good

I bought this cream probably 3 weeks ago and at first I noticed it had helped hydrate my face but it also caused super bad breakouts all over my chin and above my lips. I know that it had to be the cream because nothing else has changed in my daily skin care routine. I'm just very unhappy because my face was so clear for so long and now it's broken out completely all over half my face and is painful.

Terrible breakouts

This is a very thick cream that leaves you skin with a white, unnatural cast. It's almost like Halloween paint. Even if you just use a tiny bit, it will start to pill if you touch your face after it sets. I'm a bit shocked at L'Oreal considering it's 2016 and this new Hydra 5 line is really just a repackaged Hydrafresh/Ideal Balance products. Disappointing. Anywho, skip this paint, I mean cream.
