L'aimant is phenomenal. I've always with only 4 perfumes. Bare vanilla, rose, Versace Eros femme and Chanel No 5. Got tired of paying the price and noticed I was low on No 5 and decided to find dupes for my more expensive faves. This is def Chanel No 5 vibes. I also purchased Arpege which is also an amazing dupe for Chanel, but a tad deeper in warmth. L'aimant smells luxurious and all you need is a drop. I put mine in a dropper bottle so that I wouldn't overuse it. Like most luxury scents, if you use too much it can be really overwhelming and have you smelling like you're 90 lol but a drop and it smells heavenly all day long. Definitely amazing and a fraction of what you'd pay anywhere else.

Wonderful scent

L'Aimant by Coty is a definite dupe for Chanel No. 5. Please note, however, that L'Aimant in its current iteration is NOT the L'Aimant of yesteryear; it is far sharper, almost knifelike to my nose, and unbearable. Just no powder at all. I considered returning it but then inspiration struck! I layered L'Aimant with a spritz of Rose Noire by Giorgio Valenti and the result is perfume heaven! The powdery RN does a fantastic job of both mitigating the sharpness of L'Aimant and complementing its notes, many of which are shared with RN. If you like the aroma of vintage face powder, I highly recommend blending L'Aimant with Rose Noire for a beautiful softer-than No. 5 fragrance that is calming yet utterly luxurious. I actually prefer this combo over my Chanel No. 5 EDT which doesn't last as long. So there it spills, my secret!

Kind of a retro scent but nice, powdery and long lasting probably have to be middle-aged or older to enjoy it. Some say it's a knock off of Chanel number five but I think it's nicer, not as heavy.

whoa, didn't like this at all. old fashioned perfume with a very heavy powdery dry down. It shipped to me all the way from the Netherlands and it wasn't a full bottle so I didn't feel so bad for returning the item.

Very disappointed. It does not have the powdery fragrance like it was noted for. it smells like s dollar store colone. Very disappointed. I used to erar this for years when I was younger and when it was formulated differently.
