I bought this starter kit cause it had the needed pieces I needed to finish my lights in my semi. The link system is awesome I'm able to hook all my lights up to be controlled by one app. With proper prep the lights stick and stay nicely

It offers all the options of different colors and led variations that can be controlled via the app. The install is flexible, with being able to either be plugged into a 12v socket in your vehicle, or hardwired into your car. Depending on the vehicle, you may have to get creative to hide the little master box that controls the system, but it wasn't very difficult. 
It is a moderately difficult install, with the hardest part running the cables without them being seen. I recommend plotting out where you are going to run the cables before starting, just to make sure it is going to work with length, etc. If you plan on hardwiring this to your vehicle, make sure you are connecting it to a wire that cuts off when the ignition cuts off, or you will run into battery drain issues. These are best suited for under dash/seat installations for the inside of your vehicle. 
If you are looking for an app compatible led system for your car, this is by far the best option that you can get. I would highly recommend it.

We were really excited about these, especially because we figured our kids would get a kick out of it; we were right! The lights look really nice, whether it's day or night (although it looks a little cooler at night). They glow pretty brightly too! You can essentially select any color you like from the mobile app, which connects to the car through Bluetooth on your phone. The lights were extremely easy to set up since they just peel off and stick to wherever you want to place them. Make sure your car has a lighter port though since that's how you power them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The instructions are definitely sparse, but sufficient enough for someone who hooks up the occasional electronic for their elderly parents. I've never installed something like this before, but I was able to figure out which end attaches where easily enough. So far our strips are still sticking on the vinyl in our Camry, but with the pandemic we haven't had too many chances to test it out yet. We didn't want to try installing this system directly to our battery, so instead we used the cigarette lighter option. The downside of doing it that way is all the excess cords with nowhere to go. I wish there was a solution for that, but I'm not sure a cordless option is even possible. The other frustration is with the app. It's too complicated. So far we haven't gotten it to sync correctly, but it might take some tinkering. The lights rotate through standard colors on their own when not controlled with the app. It does not sync with music, but it never claimed to.

Fun lights, easy enough install

So for installing it wasnt that bad its easy unless you want wires everywhere so it took a while to install in my suv. The app works good for the lights and I like the different color and settings. Wish I had more lights for my back seats. But these lights are nice and Install like them.

Pretty decent but there's definitely better out there

i brought these light for my 94 jeep grand cherokee i put two bhind the driver seats n two bhind backseats in cargo area...wires were to short n the adhesive was not good had to buy 3m double sided trim tape but other then that lights work real good with alpena app good response time for remote on phone .....

could b better for the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is really neat. It was really easy to install. It's Bluetooth and you download an app for the colors. There is 1000's or color combinations that you can choose/make. You're sure to find a color that you will like . I'm thinking about getting more strips. Having these lights on/in my car is definitely a head turner.

Beautiful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The lights flash in blue, red, green and white. The backing peels off easy and it feels as if it would be sticky but it does not stick to any part of the interior. I had to use gorilla tape to make it stick. The wires connected easily to each other and are very long and sometimes my foot hits hit causing it to come off the bottom of the dash.

Terrible purchase. Didnt want to use that stupid cigarette lighter plug, i bought a fuse tap and toggle switch. After i wired that all up, i open the box and theres not a single plug that will snap in place, then when i start pushing the stuff on the bluetooth hub breaks. Every stupid wire end is broken. This thing is a $50 piece of junk. Never again, Alpena. I will go with a different brand because your lights are junk. Thanks for nothing.
