Construction

My son was so thrilled to have received this for his birthday!  The smile lingered on his face upon opening his gift.  This was the most difficult lego he has assembled so far and kept him busy for days. He was done in less than a week! Each day he would show me how far he has gone in building it.  He was so amazed on how the joints are so articulated and can stand in its own.  It was worth the money paid for.  I just helped him place the stickers as he wanted it perfectly done. He wanted his robot to be included in his collection.  He was so proud and happy with it.  I am so happy I bought this. You can never go wrong with lego purchases.

And now he keeps playing with that almost every day. The set is awesome. The set includes Fire Stone Mech and 5(!) minifigures. The most impressive thing is that you can place figures inside the mech's chest.

Great entertaining set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This building block set is a beast, in a good way! My two sons, ages 13 and 8, have built many Lego sets and this was by far the most entertaining and longest project for them to build. I sat near them to watch how they placed all of the bags in order and eagerly read the instruction booklet, well my 13 year old that is. My 8 year old put the ninja figurines together and immediately started to play while my 13 year old did all of the hard work, as usual. It was a lazy afternoon and into the evening during our self imposed quarantine when they finally finished the set. As usual, there were extra pieces included. 
My oldest said there are cool features within the Fire Stone Mech that he wasn't expecting, like the storage area under the shoulder guards and how it can fit two Ninjago figurines inside its chest cavity. 
Overall, this was a very challenging building set that will require a few hours of your time. And with the current situation that encourages people to stay home more often, I highly recommend this set to pass the time. My boys have already spent countless hours role playing together with this set despite their 5 year age gap. It's a very cool set indeed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This LEGO Ninjago is one of my favorite lego piece I have. The samurai is so big and has so many amazing features. The box came with 5 figures all have weapons and some also have shields. All of the pieces for the people can be exchanged and mixed up like normal. The set also comes with a sword in a stone type of item with green fire so they can battle over the sword. The giant Samurai is so cool. You can put one of the figures in his chest. He also has really big swords and a cool feature that shoots out LEGO like pieces! The set comes with 968pcs. If you haven't bought this Set go get it I highly recommend It!!!

It is way bigger then I thought it would be!

This mech makes a child's LEGO robot dreams come true. For years I wanted to build an AT-ST Walker from the movie Star Wars, but ratcheted joints and ball-and-socket joints hadn't even been invented by LEGO when I was a kid. Now, with this impressively robust and posable robot, I can make my robot building dreams come true. My favorite feature is that you can fit TWO figurines in the chest cavity of this awesome mech. I also loved the engineering that went into the feet to support this beast. The rubber rings on the soles of the feet look cool and provide necessary traction to keep your mech from doing the splits. Cool  stud shooter on the left hand. As a creative rebuild, I want to upgrade this mech with the six-stud shooting canons from the Ninjago Shiru copter. This set definitely ticks all my boxes for hours of fun building and cool, moveable features.

COOL FEATURES, FUN BUILD!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toy was a hit with my son and his cousin. They just love building things. The completed action figure is very cool looking. It took them a few hours to put it together. I like these types of toys because it helps them to work together. I feel like they are learning building skills which will help them later in life. It takes them away from electronics and let's them use their thinking skills.

Great for kids

I bought the fire and stone mech to display in my city on top of buildings but the lack of not having any knee joint at all makes posing it the way I want impossible. It is a great looking set and fun to build. I wish I knew there was no knee joints I would have past on this set. For kids it is perfect

As you may see the review score, I gave it a 2 for playability.
Well, I dont really play with these guys, I just like building them, however, id like to say that if I were to give it to a kid to play with, it may be fine.
I dont like the inarticulate limbs of the set, especially the legs, where the knees are locked in place.
Building it, however, has been an excellent experience.
