Bought this for my husband and he loved it. He had a hard decision as to what image to choose.

Love it

Bought for teen son. Put together too fast and way too exxy, but the finished design is big and cool. Not many 'toys' left to get a teen boy. He loves it.

Took me three days to build taking my time each day (2-3 hours) The ultimate Vader that requires 3 sets to build is really cool when finished. It definitely stands out especially when in my room. 

Building was fun I'm a bit nervous to check into the higher builds with legos and this for a first try was awesome and perfect for any skill level. (Beginner)

Looks Awesome! 3-1 Set

LEGO

This is a great set. The portrait is composed of nine tiles. The patterns are set out in the directions, like a paint by number. It might have been nice if LEGO had included 11 small paper/plastic dishes in which to place each separate color of beads. Pretty pricey at $120, but Dearth Maul looks fantastic!

Great finished portrait

Overall a fun build. My hands will be hurting for days picking up all this small prices but the finished product looks amazing hanging on the wall. Would recommend them to anyone who likes legos or puzzles. 

I do have two suggestions for future Art Lego kits

1. Number the bags. We shouldn't have to guess which color you are referring to in the manual.
2. If your going to have special sets. There should be an included manual. Having to print 91 pages on a color printer and it has to be color. Cost a pretty penny.

The Ultimate Darth Vader is Ultimate

The alternate Darth Vader build using three of these kits for an excellent  light sabre display holder!

Who thought sticking a few studs on a plate could be so rewarding. So much so I've now bought six of them!

Grandson loved it hopes  He get Two more so He can have all 3 for the wall in hes bedroom.

Preface:
As someone who loves Star Wars, Legos, and pixel art, this set immediately became a must-have. The Vader one looks a bit off, so I altered it to be more akin to its AWESOME concept art. The attached picture is a comparison of the box art and my altered version.

The Set:
Overall, it's a great set. It looks super cool across the room, but it's still neat to see the intricacies up close. It's sturdy and thick enough to stand upright if you don't have anything to lean it against. The surplus of studs is also a positive, just in case you want to modify it. My only real gripe is the sub-par Vader art compared to its AWESOME concept art.

I hope these types of sets do well, because I would love to see more of them.

Great Display Piece, Could Be Better

LEGO by numbers is what this is as a build. If you like paint by numbers you will love this set, if you don't than don't buy this. I love Star Wars and was looking forward to doing Darth Vader. I might finish before the end of the year. It's not hard, I am just bored since I realized I don't have the patience for LEGO by numbers. It is easy and I know I will love it when it's done but I doubt I will get another one. I thought the Harry Potter crests are cool, but I will definitely pass on doing this sort of LEGO build again. I do agree with another review, the bags should be numbered. But the advent calendar tray is fantastic for holding the studs. Just put them in order of 1-12.
