[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kiddos LOVED putting together and playing with this Lego set. They assembled it over the course of several days, but I'd say it adds up to about 3 or 4 hours if they do it at a slow pace like my children did. The assembly requires quite a bit of attention to detail, but I think the low end of the age is appropriate as long as the child is patient. The set is extremely detailed and beautiful and can be appreciated by not only Avatar fans, but by anyone who appreciates the intricacy of Legos. As shown in my photos, the set is spot on with the photos on the box, considering the details. Overall, this set has been such a fun addition to their Legos and their enjoyment will continue. 

***I would like to note that the green Lego square base is NOT included in this set. My 10 year old found it to be useful in setting up and organizing the assembly, and he enjoyed using it for imaginative play. The green square is a Lego brand product but is NOT included in this set.***

Another amazing set from the Avatar theme! The scale of the link shack and The Samson is respectable! Again, lovely colours, shapes and graphic work! This is quality! I had a great time building the set with my brother! We loved the interior of the link shack very much! The print on the windscreen of the helicopter is wonderful! However, I believe that there is room for two more minifigures to complete the set - Dr. Grace Augustine's avatar and Norm Spellman's human variant.

Love Avatar! This set is awesome! From the minifigure detail to the glow in the dark flowers! A bunch of unique pieces, and a bunch of fun to assemble!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Exactly what I ordered and expected. It came really quick and everything was what I thought it would be. There was a small dent in the Lego box that was taped, which didn't have any issues with the product.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I was so excited to see Lego made Avatar sets. It's been so long since I saw the movie and I'm excited for the new one coming out. This set is broken into three instruction books- one for the Link Shack, one for the Samson Helicopter, and one for the base the helicopter sits on. It's nice because multiple people can build it together. 

The Direhorse figure is neat and has a spot for a mini figure to "ride" on its back. I wish the figure had posable parts, but it's one solid piece of plastic. None of its six legs move, but like most Lego pieces, it can be stuck onto a baseplate or other bricks. The top of the Link Shack is also removable so you can interact with the inside. 

This is a fun set to get hyped up for the new Avatar movie coming out. Lego never fails deliver fun, high quality sets!

Great movie themed set!

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I gifted this set to my 28 year old son and 7 year old grandson. My son has done quite a few adult Lego builds and my grandson enjoys helping him out with sorting out the pieces. They both enjoyed this set immensely and my grandson was able to help assemble some of the pieces which was a big boost for his confidence. My son said it would be a bit complicated for a 9 year old who hasn't built Lego sets before, but if they had prior Lego building experience it would be a fun challenge. It's also a fun project for an adult and child to do together as my boys did, a great bonding experience.

It took my son an hour or so to put it together, as it is quite large and has many pieces. He really enjoyed the set because it comes with several mini-figures from the movie, and because it has a vehicle as well as stationary pieces. Legos are truly the best toys ever, because they promote creativity and following directions. The instruction booklets are simple and easy to follow. I love that they even include some extra pieces in case you lose some. I would absolutely recommend this Lego set if your kid likes Legos and especially if they love the Avatar movies.

It is definitely an intricate set that will take hours, if not days/weeks to fully assemble.

The set seems to be a must for an Avatar enthusiast.  

while I have located a blue house that is fully intact, it seems that each of the characters needs to be individually assembled.  

Completing the set will require a ton of focus, concentration, and internal drive/motivation to complete.
  many of the parts are exceptionally small and I would not recommend giving the set to a child under the age of 9.

building the set requires careful hand and eye coirdination..coordination... may be excellent for developing fine motor skills.
