Was sent a notification that it was back in stock, after being sold out at Christmas. It was delivered in a reasonable amount of time, and now will be a birthday present.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves it...like obsessed! The ship itself comes in 2 pieces, you snap together and you continue to build on top. The length is 24 in. It actually floats! We had lots of fun assembling all the additional parts. We love the variety in this box: the submarine, the diver, the helicopter, and even a shark & manta ray! I also appreciate that the crew was a good mix of men and women. The detail is incredible, with a keyboard, and even mugs used to drink for the crew. I love that the crane on top can rotate. The parts are easily removable and many compartments make it fun for much longer than expected. So much fun, even for me!

LEGO

This set is incredible and fun to build but the first thing you notice as you open it are the boat halves that join together and you realise the size. LEGO sets never show the scale due to the background but this boat measure 63cm (2') long but is lots of fun to build. It functions as a boat too, just don't expect to be floating it in your sink. I love this whole range in total and one thing I find interesting is it shows a balance of male and female minifigures in various roles, so both men and women are seen exploring the ocean together, captaining ships, and working on the ship. This range also helps national geographic and I would recommend it (I haven't got the signle person submarine for 4+ but if you have kids that age go for it) but it is definitely a fun set to build.

Worth it but bear in mind the size

Fun Lego to make

Me and my wife try to collect ship Lego and this actually was our first one. 

Compared with pirate ship or other Lego ship series it was not so hard to make or detailed which could be a good thing in some ways. But there was extra little bits such as submarine and helicopters and etc which made the build for exciting.

After the build me, wife and kids all went inside the bathtub and see how it was flowing. 

Huge sized Lego ship floats inside our tub and kids just loved it so much.

If your have a bathtub at home...

My 8-year-old son is more than happy with the Lego he received 3 weeks ago. He built it in a day, and since then has spent a lot of time playing with it. The details are perfect, very realistic, the whole thing is super well built and it can invent lots of stories and stagings with it. From the bridge seen construction, there was no problem, the assembly was very simple thanks to the well detailed booklets. He who is 8 years old has had no difficulty to realize its construction alone without help from me. He already thinks to ask other Lego of the same collection for his birthday and I am very happy because I find that this type of game develops very well its logical mind and its imagination.

A great boat for hours of play!

Mom of 2 boys, one of almost 8 years and one of 5 years. The big one has been a fan of Lego since he was a kid and has no problems building it so Lego is always the age bracket above him. First of all when this huge box arrived at home I could see the spark shining in his eyes. At the opening the two parts of the boat appeared huge to him, he told me: "it will be gigantic" At the construction no worries the notices are always very clear. At the opening of the first bag he was able to have some fun with his brothers with the fish. The shark and manta ray have been a real success. And after that say has a place to the imagination and believe me the children have. I’ve heard a lot of stories and adventures lately.

Building the boat by my son! He simply loved it! Very impressive by its size, the details and the instruction book very well explained! It had no particular difficulty during the editing! ,great toy for kid and even suitable for big lego fan!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Lego Ocean Exploration Ship is amazing! First of all, it's very fun and perfect for ages 7+. This ship is very easy to assemble. The directions are very easy to follow. My 8 year old son had a lot of fun putting this together and playing with afterwards. There's so many cool details. It actually didn't take long to build, literally took an hour to do it. I really love this set.

Amazing!

My 8 1/2 and 10-year-old sons had a blast putting up that box! - Yes. I've heard laughter! They have no particular difficulty. All the little accessories are really top (underwater exploration, helicopter, marine animals, diving cage, wreck...) and my sons are now having fun putting all this on stage on our sofa color of the sea;-) They now claim me the continuation of the collection!
