My grandson loved building things with this Lego play set. Spent hours making animals. This item is best for children 5 years and up due to many small pieces. I placed them in zip bags according to color.

This is an excellentLEGO CLASSIC collection to stimulate the brain into using its imagination in children as well as adults. This seven year old has gotten very creative. She is loving her new legos.

as a starter set, we found it to be a little light on the "standard" 2x4, 2x3, and 2x2 bricks which make up  the bulk of basic Lego construction.  Other than that, the colors were gorgeous and the animals a lot of fun to build.

Kind of a slightly weird selection of pieces, but overall, it's a giant collection of lego.
As with other such sets, lots of colors actually makes it a bit hard to find enough of the pieces you are looking for in a desired color. (e.g., this set has maybe 8-10 of the round block piece, but that's split across 4 colors.)
Don't judge by the box, by the way -- it's almost half empty space.

it's legos the quality is there. where my issue comes in is they say 1,500 pieces....they dont highlight (obviously) that what seems to be a third (500) of those pices are tiny eyes for the animals and other small pieces. im talking smaller than my pinkie finger nail small. its a little decietful in the picture and description. again its legos the quality is good, but youd be better off buying just a plain lego set if youre looking to build anything other than a handful of small animals. spend the money on a different set, this one just isnt worth it.

okay, but...

One would think that with the word classic size to describe this pack that it would be the traditional size. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact its misleading.  These are Micro sized!!  Yes there is lots of them but the average size I would guess is approximately 1/4 inch in size.

Misleading

The legos themselves were great, but there are some serious quality control issues at the warehouse. This product arrived with a large hole in the box and another item in the same package arrived with a significantly dented box. The shipping box was in great condition so it was obvious that this occurred prior to shipping. These items were bought as gifts and I had to use them as is due to not having enough time to get a replacement. It was embarrassing to give gifts in this condition. The product itself was well received, and the price was good, but the warehouse never should have sent an item out in this condition.

The lego box is missing half of the stuff that should be inside the box that it displays on the box. I bought two of these the one box had all the pieces other did not and I have a disappointed little girl
