Excellent build!

This is a gorgeous set! I love marvelling at the details after completing a section. The build wasn't repetitive and kept me engaged. The only negative is when starting a new section and having to open 8 bags at once. Then opening more bags within bags.

Absolutley beautiful

Legos are expensive! I personally try to find alternative options, and there are some out there, but sometimes you just have to suck it up and get the best one out there, especially when it's for your wife's birthday!

Expensive but best of the best

I got this set as a late Christmas present and I was amazed. This set has so much energy and is full of excitement. Jamie, the leader of the EXPERT line is my favorite LEGO designer. As you can see in the pictures, it goes really well with my other modulars. Anyway this is the best modular in my opinion so if you're debating about getting one or not I suggest that you do so!!!!=)

BEST MODULAR EVER!!!

I got this set as a gift for my birthday and decided to build it as a mirror image to the original to make it more interesting and challenging which it was indeed. I like the way it meets up with other modular sin my collection in reverse form than the original setup also. I can't wait to get the next modular whenever it becomes available until then I have started my very first moc modular ever which really gives me a lot of respect for the designers at TLG

Reversible

I'd say this is the nicest modular set I have! I really love how much details were put into the set, just like the Parisian Restaurant. I also like how they separated bags 1-3 in another box, that way I didn't have to empty out the bigger box to search for the bags. Price point I think is fair for the number of pieces and minifigure you are getting. I indicated 12 hrs as the build time but probably I am just slow in building it (bought the set on January 1, and as of this posting, I'm halfway through bags 5!). I highly recommend this set to anyone who's into the modular buildings. Happy 10th year!

When I first began looking at Lego last year, this one seemed like Moby Dick to me, my white whale. Something I'd always want but would never get. At least, I thought it would be like that, but no, I ended up being able to order it as a late birthday present and it came months early from out of a backorder, so that was a wonderful surprise. Every bit of this build is wonderful and different, never repetitious and always fun. The details on the outside are my favorite from the modular buildings, how couldn't that be the case? This set is packed to the brim with details. The interiors are wonderful, too. I can't even pick out a favorite part about this. It's all just excellent. It made a great spot for the big Lego Christmas tree, as you can see. I couldn't imagine having something like this when I was a kid, if only I could send this set back in time to myself and be like, "SEE! IT HAPPENS!" Anyhow. What a magnificent set. Part of me wants to take it apart and build something from my own imagination with the huge abundance of bricks but it just looks too good. My second favorite modular building and definitely in my top five of all. I hope 2022's set is a big'un like this 'un!

The best massive set there is.

I really like this set. It is challenging to build. I am building it with my granddaughter. It's taking us quite some time, but it's great working together. My only wish is that the instructions were a bit better. Colors of pieces are difficult to distinguish, and there are some assembly instructions that you really cannot see in the booklet. The windows on the bakery shop were different and difficult to put in once assembled. We haven't quite finished yet but love it.

Love it!

I enjoyed building this a lot. I love both the exterior and interior details. The absence of stickers and inclusion of prints is nice to see. Beware, the build time will take at least 1 day. The set also represents good value in comparison to the other modulars, especially considering the recent price increase. The minifigures are satisfactory, most of their torsos I happened to have already. Moreover, I wish they would change the generic head, but I understand the decision. If you have any other modulars you will love the cornucopia of 'easter eggs'. Although the interior is great, perhaps LEGO focuses on it too much considering you will only see it while you build it. Another thing to note is that it is difficult to fit into a city, due to it is made up of 1.5 baseplates. 
Overall, I would recommend it if you like what you see, but it is a lot of money to spend in one go.
