This is why we love Lego sets. 
I prefer cars, or especially sports cars, but this bus is such an icon, and it was fun to build.

True Lego Set

LEGO

This was my first experience working with Lego and it won't be my last. Excellent build, the instructions were easy to follow although the instruction book had several duplicate pages. Parts are easy to identify and work with. Really enjoyed my time and look forward to my next project.

London Bus

The lego london tour bus was easier to build then other experts sets such as the detective office, assembly square, pet shop. but has the same great statusfying results results . this set goes great in villages. It is a awesome set.And i highly recommend to other expert lego builders.

This is a wonderful set. I just want to suggest that you pay careful attention to all of the clear pieces, which are not so easy to see. Otherwise, you will share our experience of thinking that you are 'short' a piece, looking in all of the (clear) bags -- including the empty ones, which we always save until the build is complete -- STILL not finding the missing piece, and then totally flattening each empty bag onto the table and pressing down with your palm, until you finally feel it!

Great -- but watch out for the clear pieces!

My eleven year old son received the Lego London Bus for Christmas. By the next day, it was already put together. He was very entertained, for less than a day.

I enjoyed watching him put this Lego, as well as all of the other Legos, together. I only wish they could keep him entertained for more than a few hours - as he completes them way too fast.

Almost too easy

Being passionate about England, this set was a must! It’s the first one I built, I didn’t find it difficult, maybe a little repetitive at times but in the end I liked to build it and the result is beautiful! I will definitely be buying more Lego sets in the future!

Big crush!

I dropped off my Lego-filled laundry barrel 35 years ago! A huge surprise for my 50th birthday, my family gave me this beautiful London bus to build! !! I rediscovered the pleasure of playing Lego it was a great time! I highly recommend this set!

A great build. It was a great addition to my family's family room shelf. I love the gum under the seat and the can.There was also a different newspaper.I can still say that a Lego Creator Expert set has never disappointed me.I highly recommend this set.

Awesome

I love the cute cars Lego made, i.e., T1, Beetle, mini cooper, etc. The bus is cute and I strongly recommend it. About the London bus, I like the ticket box, the umbrella holder and the fire extinguisher near the door. I wish the ad boards on both sides of the bus would be more versatile. The second floor is a little bit boring with a bunch of seats. I am very happy to have it. So far, my most favorite is still the T1 van.

Good to have it!

Having gone to Uni in London, the classic Routemaster Double Decker was a large feature of student life - from getting me to Uni each day, to me doing cheapskate tour guide impression from top deck for family, to the Night Bus home!

This model is a welcome addition to the series, and to quote one of my family members on the finished product, doesn't even look like Lego!

The build is not as complex as feared given the scale. As others have said the seats are highly repetative (and have a tendency to recline - something that London bus seats don't sadly!). I'd also consider if the chewing gum under the seat is worth it, as it can't actually be seen once in place! Unusually for Lego, the set also had two missing peices - at it happens in the very last step (the wing mirror arms) - so didn't stop assembly and can add them when replacements arrive from Lego but unusual in Lego's quality control.

My one gripe is the stability of some of the sections when removing them - and before Lego comments like they have on a previous review raising the issue - I have checked the build instructions and rebuilt the section a couple of times to check and the top deck still tends to shed pieces if picked up incorrectly. That said, I suspect like mine, many finished models won't be played with but displayed on a shelf in the man cave!

A design classic reimagined

Next to the Beetle, T1, Mini, Caterham, F40 the design of this set looks more to a Harry Potter bus than the real thing. I guess I bought it in a weak moment just to have it next to the other classic cars or to complete my London set next to the 'Big Ben' Tower of Parliament and Tower Bridge.
