This is a great Lego and a great model of the Apollo 11 Lunar Lander. It was an easy, fun build. It looks great on my desk. I love it - might consider adding one of the light kits. It is expensive, but it's a great kit.

Legos make a great gift

I bought this item as a gift for my grandson because he is a lover of legos.  I feel they are a great toy to promote focus and concentration.  I particularly liked this one because it was historical and patriotic and more than just a "toy."  Like all legos, he will love it.

Historical and Patriotic Learning Toy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Classic LEGO!  My grandson is into space related items and was very excited to receive this build. No issue with missing parts or pieces and the final product looks realistic and terrific!  Challenging but still an enjoyable build

Very positive

From the generation who grew up watching our world's journey from the Earth to the Moon, this set hold particular pride and place among my collection.  A good build for those who enjoy building and studying the engineering marvel which went into the actual lander along with the LEGO design team who meticulously crafted so much detail.  Along your build  you'll also find easter eggs which will enhance your building experience.  Looks GREAT on display next to the NASA Apollo 11 Saturn V Rocket (92176) and is a wonderful collector's showpiece.

I enjoyed the build and the results. Looks great and the history behind it is very interesting. I would recommend it to all.

Interesting and educational

This was bought as a Christmas present for my son. I arrived, I opened it in the box it came in and then wrapped it. Son opens it and an hour later needed to go out to the garage to get a hammer to get a portion of the assembly together. After a closer examination of the box and instruction manual (which was mostly in Chinese) it dawns on he and I that this is in-fact not even a Lego. It was a cheap Chinese knock-off. The box didn't even have the Lego branding. Seriously disappointed Wal-Mart. You should be ashamed of yourselves using sellers and suppliers like this.

Cheap Chinese Knock-off, Bait and Switch

I received a bootleg version of the LEGO Creator Lunar Lander set.  Nowhere on the box does it say LEGO.  I bought this set last year- the legit LEGO set- and compared the box.  It is not the same.   If you buy this product, you are buying a counterfeit version.  Also the box arrived crushed.  If you were buying this as a collector/investor and it was real, which it is not, the damaged box would decrease the value.

Bootleg version received.  NOT LEGO!
