It’s very busy in the Parisian Restaurant. As a scooter zips by, inside the waiter rushes between the tables as the nervous young man gets ready to propose with the ring! It’s just as hectic behind the scenes, with the chef busily preparing the food. This beautifully detailed building is the setting for so many stories and is a great addition to the modular building series. The Parisian Restaurant has a fully-stocked, blue and white tiled kitchen with tableware as well as a cozy apartment with pull-down bed, kitchenette and fireplace. On the top floor is the artist’s room with a studio that includes a cast iron heater, easel, paintbrush and two works of art by the aspiring artist. Outside, stairs lead down to the roof terrace lined with hanging lanterns and flowers where the diners eat alfresco-style. Like others I have been building this series the last few year and displaying them a Christmas. This set looks like one of the finest sets yet to compliment the city. Bright colours and new pieces and great ideas, I look forward to this set arriving. Would also ask the Lego Builders to come up with a church with a steeple for this series that would be welcomed by many that wish to use a church in the displays especially during the Christmas Season.

Brought my first modular building from Lego last week and all I can see is that is so well designed, impressive amount of detail both inside and out. Once built its also very sturdy, attention to detail is great. I want to buy more buildings when I can afford it, but all I can say to folks who have not brought this one yet is to go out and buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Fantastically detailed - My first modular.

I've gone on a bit of a modular fest this last couple weeks after rekindling my modular addiction after putting together the Ghostbusters Firehouse. 

I've built the pet shop, cinema, the restaurant and assembly square. 

I'd built the cinema and pet shop years ago when they were first released so got them out of the way first.

THIS, is by far my favourite modular to date. The finished model is simply beautiful and I'm completely in love with it. It's the only one I will probably leave a review of. 

It's very pretty, superb interior and exterior details, is great to play with and looks fabulous on a street.

Don't hesitate. If this set disappoints you, you are not a fan of Lego!!

Stunning......

Hi guys,

This is the first big LEGO Creator building I've bought (I have The Simpsons' house, Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP!, and the tiny toy store), and I love it! I've attached some photos. They have been processed with Photoshop so they are a bit more lively light-wise than the actual building.

I've had an almost 30 year gap in my LEGO life, so it is so much fun to have these little "Oh, I remember this construction trick" moments as well as the "Wow, they have these sorts of bricks today!" realisitions.

It took me three nights to build the Parisian Restaurant, and all went smoothly. The only part where I had difficulties was the top floor and its gable which I knocked over two times mainly because it got secured to the other walls so late. Also, I have chubby fingers... :D

The things I love about this set: The fasade details - a joy to build, and fascinating to look at; the restaurant curtains - the bricks actually, in my eyes at least, mimic the draping of the cloth (not so that it is visible but the way the bricks are layered); the olive colored bricks - what a refined tone; the rat - because I love smart rodents; the opening roof of the atelier; the fact that the minifigures have the basic LEGO face. I also love the color of the "logs" in the fireplaces. The dark chocolaty tone is so beautiful I wish I could find some other set with more of bricks with that color.

Last but not least I really appreciate all the ideas and solutions this set gives to my own LEGO buildings - the bed that rises to the wall, the rotating armchair, the decorations inside and out, and one more time: the fireplaces.

I think I will not take this building apart but rather modify it to fit the needs of my LEGO heroine and her neighbourhood. Maybe change some of the interior colors etc. The middle floor is perhaps a bit too manly for my heroine's taste...

I can wholeheartedly recommend this building to any LEGO and architecture/interior design fan.

Such a delight to build

I ordered this set (along with the Detective's Office) from lego.com and when they arrived (actually the postwoman brought the big carton to my front door) I just spent an hour looking at the boxes in awe. I had to assemble the flower cart that came along with these two buildings almost immediately after I'd finished with my making "awwwww" sounds.

The Parisian Restaurant is so beautiful to look at that it makes my eyes go moist. I didn't know you could build something so beautiful out of mere plastic bricks. The backyard is the prettiest one in the series so far, I especially love the plants that are growing up the back wall.

There are three separate play areas in this set. Firstly, there is the ground floor restaurant with so much detail that it makes your head spin. Secondly, there's the apartment on top of the restaurant that has an abundance of awesome pieces of furniture and thirdly, there's the top floor artist's studio with a roof so cool that I had to take it to the sauna to heat it up a bit. I believe I still have a touch of frostbite on my fingertips...

I have only two things that I find not-so-pleasing with this set.
1) The fridge door is a bit tricky to open with my clumsy fingers. I'm still waiting for Lego to send me a pair of proper hands. Or just fingers, if hands are too difficult to manufacture...
2) Since the second tier of the building comes off in two parts, it is rather impossible to take the smaller section (the terrace floor) out if there's a building on the right side of the set. You have to take the house part out first and only then you can take out the terrace section without breaking anything.

I also have one question:
What is the big blue-and-grey boxy thing at the back of the building? Is it a dumpster? I sure hope not, because I stuck all my Lego bananas in it and I sure hope the garbage truck will stay away from it...

By far my favorite of the creator series! The details were impressive compared to the others, not a single spot had an "unfinished" look. It was so much fun to build, I went slowly so it wouldn't be over so fast. I even like the green color and how it looks next to the other buildings. I'm anxious to see what they will come up with next!

Awesome

This is my first lego set. I like it very much. Its interior and external are very refinement. When I biult it, there were a lot of surprise. It's amazing. I think I will be a lego fan because of it. Could you please open Lego stores in Netherlands? We will be very happy!

Very excellent

This is an excellent modular building. A restaurant has been long-needed in the modular building series. What it lacks in size it makes up for in detail. The architectural style and detail, as well indoor and outdoor seating are characteristic of real Parisian restaurants. The interior is also full of details. The back is simple, but not bare. The Even though there is a lot of detail, it is still durable. The inclusion of the printed sign and menu, as well as the moped, was a good idea. The selection of minifigures included is nice. It fits in nicely with other modular buildings. It is a relatively good deal, but I am willing to pay up to 200 USD for something a bit bigger next time.

This is a beautiful piece.  However, I did find there were several pieces missing on the first floor which made it very frustrating for my daughter when she was putting it together. It was not significant that we could not finish it but I do feel like they need to do a better job of making sure ALL of the pieces are in each bag.

I guess someone in the warehouse was lazy that day because instead of packing my merchandise in a cardboard box SOMEONE slapped an address label on the actual box and mailed it FEDEX.
I received the box mangled, with missing pieces, and scrotch tape all around the box to seal it.
