Excellent just what it was expected to be.  My 
5y.o. grandson %26 his 7 y.o. cousin  with a little help from their Dads had this small to med.Lego train with battery car together%26 running with in a few hours .  T hey have taken it apart %26 put it back together  so many times since%26 it is still running his less than  2 y.o. sister has had some fun with it.

Although this may not be as playable as other Lego train sets but the scale (especially after putting the two train sets together) and size would be more than worth it! A very nice set piece. I hope they do a steam version next!

My 5 year d grandson was able to assemble it with a little help. He loved playing with the train.

Lego Bullet Train

I bought it for my 8 year old grandson, and he was so excited that he was jumping up and down. He put it together in 20 minutes and was so proud of himself, that he wanted the other two trains that run behind what we just bought!!
It shows me how well his motor skills are.  He's impressive!!  He is a Lego collector.

Perfect little build at a good price for a new Lego fan who likes trains.  Fantastic fun.

Great first train

I got the train, but I didn’t look too deep in. After I got it I realized it is only really a display piece. I was misled by the packaging where I can make a long train buy purchasing a second copy. I am at a loss as to why it just couldn’t have an undercarrriage that works on the tracks. So I’ll be returning this one for a better one.

Not what I expected

Bought two of these together with some train tracks as an entry into Lego trains. Turns out, this set has nothing to do with any other current Lego Trains nor tracks: smaller scale - does not fit the track I bought with it, fixed bogies - will not turn, built with "standard" System parts and no train parts - useless in combination with other trains. 

No tracks in photos made sense given the price, just with my lack of experience with Lego Trains I did not this set to be entirely incompatible. Description does not say it is compatible with other trains, but does not say it is not. I guess, if I was buying this in a physical shop, I would have caught on the difference in scale, but buying online it was not obvious until we started building. And I did not check the reviews either - I am not the first one to make this mistake. It would be nice to have a visible note somewhere in the item page that this is not compatible with tracks nor trains or even curves.
