I bought this as a Christmas present for my granddaughter (it's to stay at my house). It is a great start to the Harry Potter Lego collection(I love the books and films and I've passed that on to her!) Click and collect was the easiest and least stressful option.
Can't wait for Christmas day and after to 'help' put it all together!

I've been building for well over a decade, so this was a very easy build, but it still held up.

Minifigs were all good, it's a little annoying how harry Ron and Hermione pop up in every set (I have over 6 of each now), It would be nice to get new ones rather than just redundant repeats with slight changes. Buckbeak is FANTASTIC and a huge improvement over the old version.

Build is fairly sturdy but won't hold up to roughhousing, not a good choice for younger children. Decent deal and playability, interior access is an improvement over earlier versions.

Overall decent and a must-have for Hogwarts collections.

Really liked this build a lot I think its pay great tribute to Hagrid and selected a great scene out of the best Harry Potter movie. Figures look good, interior and exterior are great, Bucky looks awesome, and this set looks amazing on display. Wish it was a little cheaper but hey that's lego.

Hargids Hut

This set depicts the scene of Buckbeak's rescue in the movie so well! The pumpkin patch, the details inside the hut with the fireplace, the chair, the pan and spoon hanging up. The egg was brown in the movie, but tan is just fine. The Harry Potter characters look just like them. Dumbledore was in the scene, so maybe he could have been there, too, but he's in various other sets, so it's understandable. Really excellent set!

Awesome recreation of the movie scene!

Love this magical hut!! Hagrid is one of my FAVORITE characters and this set not only opens up a whole new world (I swear that song is from Rapunzel NOT Aladdin) but also comes with countless wonders. I adore the many pieces hanging from his roof. Buckbeak is my FAVORITE OF THE WHOLE SET!! Ok, sorry, I got carried away. Buckbeak is amazing. He actually can get attached to the post without you needing to go through much work. I love to pretend Harry Hermione and Ron are turning back time, and I am able to act out the whole scene with the addition of two other sets ( clock tower and Dementors. Eeesh the one with Sirius sorry). Love this set!!!!!! (I really need to stop saying that). The hardest part of building this was the roof parts but I think that's on me. I lost the egg in the fireplace and had to borrow one from my brother. Love this set…

Oh. My. Gosh.

I absolutely love this set! Hagrid's Hut is by far the most improved Harry Potter set for 4 reasons! 1. The hut actually has 2 parts! If you watch the movies you will notice that the hut has a larger main structure but a smaller little room on the side! I find this to be very iconic and was disappointed that LEGO had never captured this...until now! It was an eye opener seeing the press release for this set so I'm very pleased with the way the structure turned out! 2. There are exclusive never before seen mini-figs! In past sets we only have gotten a reused Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Hagrid. But in this one we not only get those But we get 2 completely new and perfectly executed minifigs (Fudge and the executioner)! 3. Besides the Minifigs we also get a brand new 50 times more accurate buckbeak! I absolutely love this new mold and it perfectly captures buckbeaks body and nature! 4. We got a pumpkin patch! A completely unique and unnecessary addition but a very welcome one! Overall this is an amazing set and would recommend it to any Harry Potter fan!

Most Improved Harry Potter set!

My boyfriend and I built this set for date night and had so blast putting it together. I'm a die hard Harry Potter fan and love the detail in this set, it's amazing! I think the only thing missing is Fang, how could you leave Fang out!? My only complaint is the price, I feel the set was a bit expensive for what it is. However, I think the price is pretty average for LEGO. All in all, a great set with lots of detail and easy to build!

I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, and have grown to love Lego since having kids. This set is incredible. The attention to detail is so fun, creating lots of play time, and great for collectors as well. I'm not new to building Lego, but this set had some challenges for me. This set is a good price for the amount of minifigures you get as well as the hut itself.

Great set!

I think this build was my favourite so far out of the smaller sets from the Harry Potter series. 
The light up brick is tremendous and i will be looking for more sets that incorporate light. 
I love the tiny details inside of the cabin like the teapot and spoons and pan; the best being Hagrid's pink umbrella! 
Watching Prisoner of Azkaban while building is a delightful experience and highly recommended.
This set really completes the Hogwarts diorama and looks fantastic set up.

Fantastic build!

I bought this set as a display set, not play.  I really enjoyed building the set. There were a couple of fiddly spots, but overall, it was a good build. I really like the little touches that add to the atmosphere that probably wouldn't be missed if left out. (Like the hidden frog in the chest). The light up fireplace was a nice surprise. It looks good on my shelf unit.

Love this set!

My 10 year old son is a fan of harry Potter so he got this set for Christmas. Disappointment during construction because a part prevents the continuation of the assembly. After investigating another site, it turns out that this part was integrated into the set in place of another one quite recently, but the assembly instructions have not been revised... big mistake on the part of Lego since with this part (the 40687), we can not finish the construction. I hope Lego will send me the piece that was present before (the 30157).
