I have had my eye on this set for quite a while now. I have friends who have it, and they applaud it as being a gorgeous display model with some truly great features and a must for any LEGO Harry Potter fan.

When I heard this set will be retiring this year it meant this might be a set I might have to pass on, until there was the fantastic insider's discount that brought this set within my budget! I jumped at it!
And I am so happy I now have this fantastic train, that is so iconic, in my collection.

The Hogwarts Express is an absolutely fantastic set and easily my largest one so far! As a huge Harry Potter fan, this set was a dream come true. The detail on the train is incredible, from the design of the engine to the lovely touches like the passenger car interiors and the platform. The build itself was challenging in the best way, and it was so rewarding to see it all come together. Lots of minifigures to bring this set to life. The train looks amazing displayed. This is definitely one of my favorite sets in my collection, and I'd highly recommend it to any Harry Potter fan

The best Harry Potter Lego Set

received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. Wow this is a must have for any Harry Potter fan! My wife was so excited when she saw the box. Lego always pays attention to minor details and their craftsmanship was too not for this set. I felt transported into the books while building out the set, such a fun experience.

Biggest and Best Set Ever

I love the idea of a Collector's Edition set! This set is a huge display piece at almost 4 feet long. I love that it has scenes from multiple different points in time. The build is well constructed and does look gorgeous.

I do find the "station" portion of the set to be a bit disjointed with the rest of the set as it sort of floats in the middle. Also for the price, I would have preferred it to be a working train on a full track.

For the extortionate cost of this set... you'd think they'd actually put the correct station on the plaque you receive. 'King cross' isn't correct and for a collectors edition I'm so disappointed there wasn't enough attention to detail to spot such a simple mistake!
