I really enjoyed building this set! The details are amazing. The only critique I have is that I wish the interactive instructions were available. I would have benefitted from the 360 view. Also, tying the little "cable" to the winch was trying. It came undone at least 3 times before I could get it tight enough. I used a particular fishing knot, a square knot, and a couple of others. It ended up staying, but it was certainly a challenge! The finished product is amazing. Patience is key, but it is worth it! We all know Lego can be cost prohibitive, but if you can gather the money up it is a very nice show piece...with working  shocks!

I enjoyed building this Defender classic 90 although it's smaller than the last Lego Defender that I built. This is my sixth Technic purchase. The 90 was a pleasure to build and kept me busy for several days, I thoroughly recommend this to any Lego fan.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The regular price is $********* or so but since it was retiring it's on sale. Compared to target, it was out of stock but Walmart had it and I saved a few extra dollars on the sale price on top of it being in stock.

I purchased this item for my 38 year old son for his birthday. His eyes lit up like they did when he was a kid who played with nothing else but Legos. He said it was a nice surprise, and he loved the thought behind it. It was a fun thing to do!

Adults like it too!

So far pretty good the size of it is well bigger than I expected I will advise people if a younger person is doing it they will need help with it and especially us adults to with the roof part because it don't fully match up with the windscreen not fully done so can't say anymore than this

Awesome

Wonderful Lego set. I tend to solely build technic/mindstorms and it will appeal to this kind of builder alongside the classic block Lego fans. 

Also a great set as a LR enthusiast. 

This Lego build has some odd design choices in terms of specific bricks that could be switched for perhaps more appropriate options and some building steps which could be taken by a more logical approach - this could confuse amateur builders.

A total of 6 pieces were missing from the seat of the vehicle and was missing the sticker sheet. Lego vehicles are some of my favorite builds but I did not enjoy this one very much.

Not a great build

I've been wanting this set for a couple years but always purchase bigger sets for my son's collection. I finally decided to treat myself and get this set as a Christmas gift to myself after a very trying year. I was so excited to open it up but never got to start building because it was missing the first piece. Literally, the very first piece in the build is missing. I can't even start the build and I'm disappointed. More and more sets are missing pieces showing a lack in quality.

Why this isn't listed as technic set, I'll never know, was so fiddly to build and I'm not a fan of technic sets, if I'd known it was so awkward to build I would of avoided it and bought a better set
