Being a big amusement park fan as well as the Black Friday deal, getting this set was a no-brainer.   However, I did have some skepticism.   
I still decided to purchase and I'm glad I did.    I will admit when I first put it together, it wasn't working 100% of the time, but after rebuilding, it works like a charm.   
I got the opportunity of rebuilding several of the features moving the set, but again, got it working 100% of the time.
If I were to offer suggestions, the building instruction pictures could have been better.   Several times they only show part of the coaster and it was hard to tell where the build was happening.     Also, some of the structures could have been sturdier.

Don't let the negative review dissuade you

LEGO

My son is 9 and loves legos and was able to build this in one weekend and he absolutely loves it. I would say there needs to be more rollercoaster sets.

Great product

This set insane! works perfectly and there are no flaws what so ever the elevator works perfectly and it goes around the track perfectly every time! If your looking for a fun Lego set that actually works, buy this. only complaint is that the is a little much, but over all this set deserve a solid 5 stars.

easily the best fairground set ever released

I have done alot of lego sets but none of them have amazed me like this one. Built correctly it works 100%! Definitely a must have. Better get before it retires or you will regret it for sure

MUST HAVE

Challenging and glad it came apart so some missed steps were corrected. Waiting to install after market motor and converted previous coaster set pieces into the Loop Coaster.

Loop Coaster - Ride on

Love the loop coaster...I had been wanting to purchase it since I first saw it and I am so glad I finally made it happen

This was one of the more interesting builds of done ,and once your done you can play with it and see it run very interesting project

Loop coaster

I'm glad we built this kit, but it's not my favorite so far.  Lots of repetition in assemblies.  The directions definitely could have been clearer in some areas.  Not a kit for beginners, but a Master Builder can figure it out.

Fun, but not my favorite kit

I think this is a very good lego set. It functions really well. I think if you're thinking of buying this, you need to keep in mind as it is massive - 92in tall, 85in wide.
The only downside is that it's very difficult to build, especially the chain lift and that area. If your new to lego or only have built a few lego sets, i wouldn't recommend buying. But other than that, it is amazing. it works really well. I can't stop playing with it. Also building it was very fun.

Build experience was challenging.  From tying knots, to calibrating counter weights and hooking chains in the right direction.  Yet the coaster cars kept being stuck on the top and would not go down.  I could not get the motorized battery pack as they were sold out.  I tried using the hand crank feature.  I tried going on YouTube but after spending all day to trouble shoot decided that I had enough.  After spending points and cash.  The defects was too much.  One of the wheel on the coasters would not roll freely as well causing the coaster cars to not reach the end.  The elevator would not go down unless I gently pushed it down with my hand.  My recommendation is buy this coaster from Lego and build and decide writhin the 90 day period.  If you are not satisfied, return.  This will be my first product return to Lego.  I bought the Lighthouse, Piano, Titanic, and Creator cars along with many City theme Legos.  Loved them all as they functioned with no problems.  I lost 26 hours building and troubleshooting this Loop coaster set.
