Being a product of the 80s I am used to looking back and seeing the places and things that brought me joy are sometimes better in memory. But this set does something wonderful. It revisits those castle sets I remember and adds to them in creative and beautiful ways.

I hope Lego continues with creations that revisit those early Lego sets so that I can share them with my kids for years to come.

Memories in technicolor

I absolutely love the medieval styled sets and this one has made a great addition to my collection, I'm really hoping we see more like this one and the Medieval blacksmith set.

Excellent set!

I took my time with this and my daughter (10) also supported with building since you can effectively build the two buildings together.  A really fun and detailed village with plenty of play time for the kids.

Fun, detailed build

Loved the set!!! Lots of great little details and story within each build and a number of build techniques that really expanded my skills. 

I also enjoyed the commentary in the manuals and it gave a sense of history to the build. 

Most importantly, it passes the kids play test and my 4 year old has been playing with it extensively!

Great set!

I had so much joy putting this together. This is an excellent example of multiple builds in one set working amazingly well. The versatility for display is so good, and it's got a lot to it to make it a great playset at the same time. Both the exteriors & interiors are impressive. If anything id have liked a couple more farm animals but great set overall.

Great display & playset combo

I am getting into Castle themed sets recently and I love architecture. This set is great, however I feel like it would have been cheaper to have by credit card stolen. I would have understood if this was a licensed theme with characters and a universe already established but this is Lego's own theme and should be priced appropriately.

Way to great, way overpriced

Great Build

Fits in really well with the lion knight castle set. Wish there were more to the set at this price point.

Great addition to medieval theme

Solid but not entirely fantastic. The tree and Wolfpack mini fig are stellar. Besides the two main structures, there are too many little pieces that don't really fit on the main platforms and are just loose. It would have been nice to include a simple courtyard in front for some more of these smaller little builds to be housed.

My son loves Lego and owns 100s of sets. He has never had a set that was missing a piece. This set was missing 3 pieces and this was his Christmas gift. Very disappointing that he could not even build his Christmas gift on Christmas due to missing pieces. What a bummer.
