Excellent F1 Icons set. colors are excellent and Lego did a great job replicating the shape of the original. 
Some of the pieces needed a little more finesse getting them together compared to other Lego sets. 
I added a custom sticker set to add the missing tobacco and alcohol sponsors.
I highly recommend this set to any F1 fans.....all of the Lego Icons F1 sets are top notch.

Occasionally a new Lego product appears on the website and it's not a case of “do I want this?” Or “is this value for money?” Or “if so then, when do I pencil this in for potential purchase?”. Sometimes it's simply “oh wow - that is amazing. When is it available? And I'm ordering this the moment it becomes available!!!!”. I'm an F1 fan and have been for over 40 years. I felt I had to purchase the Ayrton Senna McLaren last year. The model looked pretty good, the minifigure with the iconic helmet, standing on a plinth was a nice touch, and yeah, although never a massive fan of the Brazilian, there's no doubting his place in the sport as one of the true greats - an Icon if you will. I'm glad I purchased that model. But this? What can I say? I think this is an even better Lego model than the McLaren last year - it looks incredible and I feel it's more faithful to the actual car - has more parts too. Again, the minifigure of the great man himself is excellent. Nigel Mansell in Lego….. just brilliant. Thank you so much to whoever signed off on producing this wonderful model. Ordered the moment I could, built as quickly as I could - and this model will have pride of place on display always. Thank you again Lego. Oh, and if you ever want to do a Lewis Hamilton Mercedes in this series then that would be good!!!!

Easy as 123

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Don't know how it is yet!  It's my birthday present!  My wife forgets these emails come to me!   😁 But the Senna lego car was awesome, so Im sure this one will be as well!

Great fun making a classic icon from my youth. It joins the Senna McLaren in representing some key moments in F1 history. An engaging build. Now we just need Schumacher and his F2001 and all my hero's will be together.

F1 nostalgia

LEGO have clearly been paying attention, learning from some of the less successful parts of the Mclaren 4/4, like the wheels being a poor representation of the real car. With the FW14B they have made great improvements on the details. The wheels, hydraulic lines and engine cover are to name but a few. 
The Mansell minifig is also a great addition and I hope that LEGO continue this line of Icons with a few more of these legendary machines and drivers.

Learning from the past.

This is a typical ICON set. Instruction book is clear, but much is left for the experienced builder to study the graphics and make the correct block snap to the correct spot. Also, the tires with the Goodyear logo and the correct sizes front versus rear make a big difference and a bigger impression.

Perfect!

There's some improvements here as compared to the McLaren MP4/4 F1 car. Primarily, the tires are better looking.

Still, I'll be modding mine with aftermarket wheels, tires, and decals if they become available.

But as is, this is a cool set for those that are F1 fans.

Great little set

An easy build for someone of my age, so not fair to judge the this peace I feel. For me it's red number 5. It's the the logical step in the collection. My i suggest Mr Alan Prost. And then Michael, followed by Jenson Buttun maybe. However great little build, and another collection started. Love ❤️ you Lego.

Boyhood driver

It is really a master piece, elegant and beautiful but it is absolute pain to put it together. You put the front, the rear falls apart, fix the right side, left side breaks. There is absolutely no way to keep it in one piece without frustration. The poor kid god really mad at this toy. He is a YouTuber with a ton of Lego experience, but this is disaster to build and keep it intact. 

I initially thought this is not suitable for his age, then I tried it myself and saw first hand how messy it is; made of a lot on unnecessary small pieces that don't go together properly.

Beautiful but frustratingly fragile

Missing pieces. Enough said.  Now have to wait 9 working days for the replacement pieces. I managed to substitute one piece for a similar one. Only got to bag 2 not sure whether to carry on with the build or wait. Title sums up how I feel. Sienna model was great and was hoping for the same buzz.
