We built this set back in March 2020. So I'm writing my evaluation almost a year later with a little personal reflection as a parent. 
Can LEGOs help children face fears? I think it's very likely because we went to the museum and the T. rex really scared my young son. This happened before I bought this set. At first the T. rex was mean/bad, but as the weeks went by, he was no longer afraid to play with it. I could draw a parallel with Hidden Side because he was never afraid of ghosts. 
Coming back to the set itself, it's awesome. At first I didn't think the box was thick, there's everything to make hours of games full of funny memories with a hot dog eating T. rex.
As usual, I like all the printed bricks, so I liked the fact that this set was done uner the Juniors series, otherwise we would have ended up with stickers!

My 5 year old son loves it

When I said beginning collectors, I did not mean little kids. If you are beginning a Lego Jurassic Park I would consider getting this set. This set is good for kids, but if your making a park, this should be one of your first sets. If you were like me when you first got into lego Jurassic Park, you probably wanted one thing: a big strong T-Rex. That is basically the purpose this set serves. This set is good for a lot of reasons. 

You get the big, classic T-Rex, a must have for any park builder.

You also get a FENCE for the T-Rex to break out of, which is great because most sets don't come with fences.

You get more basic necessities, such as Claire, Owen, a jeep, a special scientist minifig, PLUS an mercenary, (I usually use them as ACU) and a baby T-Rex along with some eggs. Nowadays baby Dinosaurs are very common, but in the time I got this set, they were very rare.

And then there's the price. This set is CHEAP. Great price lego. The only problem is that this is a junior set and the build is very easy and isn't that fun, but I think it's worth it. Overall, GET THIS SET.

Must have for beginning collectors

This is a Christmas gift. I'll report back when they receive it.

I haven't given to my grand son yet. However the toy looks as it is pictured. My grand son had several leggings set similar and he had enjoyed them.

As expected..no issues at all. my grandkids love these legos..i' be bought many for them in the past. This is a Christmas gift not yet opened, but I'm very familiar with the product; great quality for the price.

Love them!

My grandson chose this set for me to purchase because it had the T Rex in it. The baby T Rex and the egg are a plus. He doesn't really play with it much since it's been built. The flames and the palms keep falling off too easily. If the gates led into a building of some sort, it would be more fun. He isn't quite old enough to grasp the concept of the gates being the entrance to a park where it can shut out the T Rex. Therefore, he mainly plays with just the dinosaur and it's baby. I'd not purchase it again if I had a choice.

Not played with much...

This set is a good way to get the t-Rex from 2015 if you missed out on it. The build is extremely underwhelming once put together. The printed pieces are nice but overall this set should be priced around $30 instead of $50. The amount of pieces that you get don't seem equivelant to the price. W

Overpriced

I bought this set only for the T-Rex, and for the price, it is totally worth it. I consider myself a professional Lego fan, as I am building Lego since my very young age. So the rest of the set is not very interesting for me, besides maybe the additional guard who will be useful when I will do a Jurassic World themed park moc.

This is a cool Lego set, and my son loves it. But when we initially opened the box and started putting it together... We bought it for the TREX. Unfortunately my son was SO UPSET, because the legs do not fit in the holes properly and it cant even stand up!! It seems like they completely flipped around the insert for the legs and the arms because the arms fit in where the legs go, and the legs fit in where the arms go. For this reason alone, I would not recommend this one.
