This is the best LEGO minifigure series to me because of the great selection of minifigures to find. Not only are there a bunch of awesome LEGO minifigures with new and rare molds, but this series also includes the most loved LEGO minifigure ever: the 1978 Police Man! Unfortunately, I did not get him, but I did manage to get both the brick figs, the birthday cake guy, the clown, the cowboy, and the firework. Overall, I find this series to be quite great, and I definitely recommend it to a friend. Review by cheesy. 6/19/2018

One of the best minifigure series!

Love the new set it's nice to see a set of true Lego Minifigures rather than a licenced set of which, we have had a few recently.
The Party theme was brilliant and by and large the execution of the figures was brilliant. The exception for me was the two figures dressed as 6x2 bricks. I like the true minifigure inside the suit as was achieved with the Cake man and Flower pot girl.
My big disappointment was the Policeman; love the fact that he was a replica of the First True minifigure (I believe) but, by including only one in each box it has made it difficult to achieve the set, without supporting the after market sales which, is currently trading the Policeman at over 5 times the retail price. Every shop I have been in have suffered from the same problem,1 all the boxes have been gone through and the Policeman has been removed. I have gone through hundreds of bags looking for the elusive Policeman even boxes that appear to be unopened, have all but one figure in them. 
In future, can we please play fair, I can't see what you gain from the limited figure and we the loyal lego fans lose out. :-(

PS. Can we also restrict the number of figures to 16, as your display cases are designed to hold 16. 17 makes it difficult to display using lego display cases.

What a beautiful and excellent series! I saw these in WH Smith and purchased an entire case! (There was another 5 boxes in the store stockroom so don't worry there was plenty left for everybody else) The highlight of the set is The Classic policeman but it's just a shame there is only 1 per box.. his accessories include a yellow 1x2 plate and a 1x2 tile with set 600 printed on and it looks superb! There are so so many cool and colourful characters in this collection and the new elements look fantastic, my favourites are: Brick suit guy, Brick suit girl, race car suit guy, balloon artist clown, birthday cake guy,... In fact they are all AWESOME! Get some now whilst you can

(***Oh and spoiler alert!!*** When a fresh box has been opened, The classic policeman figure is always the packet at the top left of the box!) Happy Hunting

Possibly the best series of minifigures ever! Everyone is a gem. Yes I wish the cat had been orange or turquoise as everything else except Spider boy is so colourful. But it was a real joy to collect these. A brilliant way to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the minifigure and to put a smile on yours and others faces. Very happy days! And then built a cake to display them on.

Fun, fun, fun!

The Minifigs are really great and beautifully done. The only week one in my opinion is the unicorn guy. 
 However as many have said, having only one police man per box is a total scam. I am quite happy to forgo getting him. I refuse to deal with after market prices on Lego.
I will be quite satisfied with having 16 out 17.

What we received are very cute !!
I have a eight year old daughter and we build Lego's together for fun. 
The Flowerpot Girl and Unicorn Guy are her favorites so far.
Just wish we could buy the whole set.
You are limited to only buying 17 blind packs, which I did but ended up with 4 Cowboy's, 3 Cat Girls, 3 Dragon Guy's , 2 Fireworks Guy's, 2 Brick Suit Guy's, 1 Flower Pot Girl, 1 Unicorn Guy and 1 Brick suit Girl. 
So only 8 out of 17.... not good at all

Fun to search

I really like this party series and all the figures I was able to find and get are all great
1.the Elephant girl is cute and I like how she comes with a mouse and is scared of it and has a normal face as well.
2. and 3. are the Red Brick Guy and the Blue Brick Girl both of these I like and had to get them both plus they make a cute couple.
4. the Firework guy I like and will be a popular figure to get for the 4th of July in 2 months.
5.the Dragon Suit guy is one of my favorites.
6.the Spiderguy is a cool figure and I think will fit in well for anyone who will do a Halloween theme.
7.the Cactus girl I like plus I like her facial expression when she is wearing the suit like it is pricking her.
8. the Catgirl is a cute minifigure and I like her light blue fish she has
9.is the RaceCar Suit Guy I really like this figure alot and I love his race car suit.
10. the Flowerpot girl is a cute figure.
11.the Cowboy is a great figure plus I like his horse for his costume.
12.the Birthday Boy is a good figure plus I like the new balloon piece and inside his Birthday present are two series 1 figures that he gets which is very cool and awesome.
13. the Blue Unicorn Knight I like and he goes well with the Unicorn Girl from Series 13.Sadly the only figure I wasn't able to find was the Classic Policeman I know he is a rare figure to get and is only limited to 1 box he is one I wish I was able to find but still overall happy with the figures I was able to find and really a great series celebrating 40 years of the Lego Minifigure.

Could Not Find the PoliceMan

Lego recently sent me 4 bags only for my son to open them and all 4 were the same and not only the same but we have 3 already. I understand they are random but would be interested to now how many of the Balloon Minifigure with purple balloon are produced compared to others. I accept you are going to get some the same although we have bought around 19 bags & have 7 of the same and can't believe all 4 from lego especially were the same. Is anyone else aquired huge amounts of this figure ? Would be interesting to now.
I completely expect to get some the same but out of 19 bags my son only has 4 different characters which I think you'll agree is shocking, Rocket Guy, Cactus Guy, Balloon Kid, Lego Suit.
After such an excellent set in Batman 1&2 series very disappointed

My son was very disappointed

I'm swearing off buying collectible mini figs. Waste of money to ever try for a full set. When you can spend more than enough to buy a modular building and still not have a full set, it's more than a waste for a bunch of duplicate figs. So frustrating I've decided not to deal with it anymore or waste anymore money of figs. Lame

Over it

To start with, this is a great theme, a lot of clever and varied costumes. I've personally had fun taking photos of the police officer accosting the other minifigs for various misdemeanors (not the point of the theme but, hey, they were funny).

So why the low score? Well, up to this point (excluding series 10 which suffered the same issue) a person was guaranteed to find three complete sets of minifigures to a box, with some extra depending on the number of different minifigs in the series. Unfortunately, in this series, there is a limit of one police officer to every box. While not the most interesting of figures, it still makes obtaining him a chore at best, expensive at worst as people take advantage of the artificial scarcity and people's obsessions for completing their collections by charging ten times the retail value (at least). 

While series 18 is a celebration of 40 years of minifigures, the guest of honour won't be appearing at most of the parties. Who would have thought it, the one time you want a police officer to turn up to your party...
