[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a few days ago the LEGO - Republic Fighter Tank and my son is super happy.
I would say it is a medium lego set so it does not take a long time to build it and then play with it. The set includes a lot of figurines which is great to set up Star War stories.
From my side I found the notice very clear, my son (9 years old) did not need any kind of help.
In my opinion it is a great lego set and not a very common one so it would be a good addition to your collection.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago and it was a great addition for my son's collection. He loves it and with the movable parts and keeps him busy for hours. It is a great teaching tool also. I would recommend this product to anyone with kids.

Great product!!!

I'll be honest, I was skeptical about this build when rumors were released. 

But after getting it and putting it together, I was pleased. The tank build itself, while not super complicated, is larger than I would've expected - but also contains a lot of space for mini figs. There's a space up top, in the front, and behind to place clones / Mace. Overall, enjoyed the build more than I thought I would.

Selling point here is definitely the Mini-Figs - these clones are a first and they look good, though it would've been nice to have the kama with the commander airborne. But the arm printing on Mace is lovely for the Clone Wars era, and I'd like to see more figures with it. 

Only major downside is the top of the tank does not close fully, feels and looks funky, and does not get close to closing with a fig inside, but that's a minor loss. 

Overall, really enjoyed the build and characters - mostly good choices made with this set.

Great Build with Great Figures

This is much better than the previous version. Much better scale, great figures. Could have used one more pair of battle droids. A few too many stickers, canopy should have been a print, and some driving cabin detail would have been nice. Wish the top hatch could close with a seated figure. Overall a great play and display piece. Good set to get multiple of.

Solid build

I'm a recent Lego hobbyist and this set is a must buy for any clone wars and prequel fans out there. Mace Windu looks amazing and the troopers color just pops. For the price, it would of potentially been nice to get a few more pieces on the build to add some bulk to it but all in all, great set.

Fun build, and amazing models

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Awesome Lego set built by my 7 year old son. The pieces are well designed and detailed and depict great character. My son enjoyed the build it took him and I about 1.5 hours to build letting him do most of the work. A must purchase for any child that is a Star Wars fan. The bricks snap together with ease and hold together great.

Great Lego

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family loves Star Wars and this Republic fighter tank was a fun kit to put together. This lego kit is for ages 7+ and I think the age range is right on target for this kit. My son needed very minimal help but we worked together on organizing the lego's out of the bag and I helped a bit with some of the smaller pieces. He really stayed focused on it and took a few breaks but overall it took a few hours to complete. 
This set includes labeled bags and step by step instructions, so even a novice lego builder should have no trouble building this. 
The bottom of the tank has wheels which is fun for rolling it around during play. I also really like the moving doors & hatches as well as the working shooters. It includes 6 figures including Mace Windu, 2 droids and 3 storm troopers. My boys had so much fun battling together with this set and are already asking for some other battle ships to add to their collection.

lego fighter tank

The mini-figure selection is great for this price point. The only problem I have and heard others have about this set is the build quality of the tank. It feels like a juniors set mixed with a regular set. It is disproportionate and lacks details that could have easily been added at the same price point.

Good Value But 1 Flaw

I know this set was highly anticipated when rumors started going around because builders heard that we were finally going to have 187th legion clone troopers. Unlike the 501st battle pack where we got four 501st troopers, here, we only get three 187th troopers. To make up for that, we're given a brand new version of Mace Windu that features arm printing! I am one of those people that do believe this set is overpriced so I think to justify the price, there should've been an added 187th clone trooper and a super battle droid. I also believe the set should've been bigger even though it is much bigger than the 2017 version.

An almost perfect set

I dont think I'm alone in believing that the first clone wars republic fighter tank was a superior set to this. That being said, I build to collect and display, not really to play. I do think this is a good value for what it is. To be honest, I picked this up just for the Mace Windu minifig, but it made me realize that one day I really hope they decide to make a UCS version of this vehicle.

Minifigs saved it for me

This set has a great selection of minifigs, but it is seriously let down by the poor design of the tank. The build experience was okay and took no time at all, but the tank seriously lacks meaningfully useful interior space and accessory storage. The front compartment door is really badly designed, it has massive gaps that are extremely noticeable when displayed and the pivot mechanism is pretty flimsy! LEGO should know by now that useable interior space is a major requirement, especially for troop carrying Star Wars sets! Unfortunately this set falls way short on that front, good luck squeezing anything (including your fingers) inside this pathetic attempt. Although there are a relatively large number of stickers for the size of this set, they positively add to the overall look of the tank and I didn't find the application too difficult compared to some other sets. I'd recommend this set for the minifigs alone.
