This may very well be the best-looking, near-accurate scale droid LEGO has produced to date. The shaping, proportions, and detail on BD-1 are spot-on, with special praise going to the head design—which includes a subtle tilt functionality that adds tons of personality and makes posing the little guy easy and fun.

While the build is fantastic out of the box, I did end up modding a few small elements—specifically one of the eyes, the antenna tips and rods, and the feet—just to refine the look even further. That said, even without mods, this is a top-tier LEGO set. Whether you're a fan of the Jedi games or just a droid enthusiast, BD-1 is a must-have for your collection.

Pre ordered the set, since stores are getting cleared out. Arrived on the 2nd. This set is a very fun little build, very compact, with wonderful detail. Non repetitive, with some very wonderful articulation points. Head poses well, legs are sturdy and the hidden compartment is perfect. Overall a must have for any Star Wars collectors. Very happy to have pre ordered.

Loved it

I've never pre-ordered a Lego set before, but I did so when I saw this in the 'coming soon' area, and I'm so glad that I did. 

BD-1 is a brilliant character in the game and I was pleased to see they even brought the 'BD' droid into live action with the Book of Boba Fett.

The build was great, thoroughly enjoyed it. The end model is brilliant with the various movement it has and poses it can be set into. Lego has really captured the essence of the character in model - I hope they continue to do so with future sets. 

Highly recommend this set!

Stella Build

This is an absolutely FANTASTIC set! Definitely my favorite set from 2022 so far, across several themes. The detail of this build is wonderful. He looks exactly like BD-1 in Fallen Order, and there's just something so inquisitive and charming about him when he's all finished. 

Absolutely thrilled with him. I stretched the build out over three days because I was having so much fun bringing him to life. Great job, LEGO! 

(I hope BD-1 is an indicator of a few more Fallen Order sets to come! I would love a Stinger Mantis, or maybe a display set showcasing Zeffo, Kashyyyk or Dathomir.)

Favorite Set from 2022!

BD-1 has been on of my favorite side characters in Star Wars media ever since Jedi: Fallen Order first released and I've wanted a set based on him as well. This set is all I could have wanted! A striking display piece, the set is mostly true to BD-1's design in the game. Using whips as wires is also one of my favorite build techniques that I've seen this year!

My main complaints with the set are the shape of the feet, which are way too big but easily modifiable, and the stim container, which doesnt open enough to let you take them out. Both of which are extremely minor, however reduce the play experience score.

Overall, the set stays true to the design of the character and is a pleasing building experience for all. Highly recommend! Would love to see more Jedi: Fallen Order sets to go along with this set :)

Fantastic set based on a fantastic game!

This was a great build, I love the look of BD-1. Everything about Jedi Fallen Order is embraced by this build. The feet are a bit big yes compared to the game and the stim canisters don't come out easily but big deal, it doesn't take away from the overall look and fun of this little Droid. It definitely is one of my favourite sets in the last few years for price, build experience and look. Good work design team.

Excellent Droid

This set is definitely one of the coolest small sets I've ever built. Even though it's only a little more than a thousand pieces, I still really enjoyed building it. The set has some very good details and is very sturdy. The joint stay in place and can easily be changed without any issues. There is a decent amount of repetition considering that this set is almost symmetrical. Overall, this set is definitely recommended to any Star Wars fan. Especially, if you have R2-D2, BB-8 and D-O.

Awesome set! Great to display! A+++

Fantastic build! Decent mix of regular Lego parts and Technic parts. Complex enough for 3 hours of relaxed building, complete with the SW: JFO score and a pair of warm socks for maximum enjoyment. Makes a stellar collectible deco item. One of the best Lego sets I have seen. Oh, and it's that close to "real life"!

Buddy BD-1

BD-1 was an unexpected surprise being that he is from a Star Wars video game. It has some minor posing options which are great for display with personality. The size of BD-1 is bigger than I thought— though he's a bit more wobbly than I predicted as well (legs and head). I put this together in two nights. After getting the legs done, it's a quick build.

Think we're currently on our third email to Lego to report missing pieces. 7 bags and multiple pieces missing from each. Usually there are extra pieces and there still is but several others are missing from this set. I wasn't going to leave a review but we ran into 2 missing pieces and the build has stopped again.

How many pieces are supposed to be missing?
