Advent calendar

These calendars are a daily ritual during the holiday season for my family!  The selection of characters and vehicles from across the EU and main films as well as the special holiday minifigs are wonderful.  We need more shelf space!

Annual must buy!

Bought this for myself and just started opening it for the season. The set up is great and it works as a piece of decoration as well.

Unfortunately for each day, the build instructions are on the corresponding flap, and because I don't want to wreck the display, I have to pick up the whole box and sit it on my lap or a table so I can see the instructions as I put the pieces together. Would be nice if each day came with a separate piece of paper or something so we don't have to rely on the display for information.

Fun but Could be More Accessible

I thought Grogu and the Mandalorian were cool figs, was surprised by the playability of the small vehicles. I only bought it for the figs, but ended up enjoying all of it. We def coulda used another fig but hey, it's lego, when do they give us everything we want. I have other big sets and was neat to put the mini speeders and ships in front of the large ones I got.

Advert Calendar

I bought this Star Wars themed with the Marvel and Harry Potter calendars for my son, who is 10, because he loves to open them early, and play with the builds and the figures. This has been our tradition for the past 4 years now. However, it seems only two figures for the Mandalorian and baby Yoda are the two pieces from this Star Wars Calendar that attracts his interest. I was surprised since he is a big Star Wars fan. He told me the Harry Potter one is so much better and colorful. I have been a LEGO creator fan and hobbits for a long time ,and I guess now, my son also sees if a set has value or not. I would not recommend this set because if you are buying it as a gift for a child, in all honesty, for it value, it is an average set. Buy The Armorer's Mandalorian Forge, or other advent calendars instead they are better value and more fun.

Average Advent Calendar

What happened with this calendar, Lego? It was a great idea to base it on one particular theme, and please do this again next year, but the intention wasn't executed especially well. You say it's based on Series 2 of the Mandalorian but only three or four builds and none of the minifigures are specific to that series, while some of the gifts are based on things from Series 1 or are generic to the Star Wars universe. You've reduced the number of minifigures (compared to previous years and all the other calendars this year) and added more weapons racks despite constant feedback from previous years that no one enjoys the weapons racks. Removing the accessories from the minifigures to take the sting out of the weapon rack days makes things even worse. A few of the microbuilds were very nicely done but others are just recycled from previous designs and some are very low effort. There's hardly any festive design included, despite the promise of the box art, and there are no printed accessories. The snowball fight theme is a nice feature but doesn't seem to have been given much thought. Obviously the festive Grogu and very mildly festive Mando were enough to sell the set but the rest is only just good enough to stop this feeling like a rip off. Overall it was just about good enough but far too generic. I would trade this small mountain of spare parts that you've included for some printed tiles and a minifigure that was actually specific to the show (Frog lady or Mythrol if you want to take me up on that).

Being a single theme calendar I was already feeling a little down on this kit because one of my favourite parts of the Lego Star Wars advent calendar is working out what part of the saga a model is representing, and how each kit will point at the next few days of kits. 

I'm onto day seven now, and I had to go onto the web store to look at spoilers to see if there will be any more minifigs. Turns out there will be, but fewer than years before, and just storm troopers and the man himself? It's just a little boring, honestly. A real shame compared to the joy of previous years.

Disappointing compared to previous calendars

Why is this calendar full of stands for mini builds?
This set is severely let down it had, last (2020) year's mini builds was full of ships and scenery builds, which where really fun builds to do with my daughter.
This year really wasn't worth the money and I won't be getting another one next year it appears LEGO is on the decline slope when it comes to Lego Star wars. It's such a shame.

Lego you really need to up your game and listen to the fans of Lego Star Wars wants and needs.

Very poor excuse of a Christmas calendar

The overall theme of this calendar was very disappointing, however I'd like to point out that we enjoy Mando and Tuskens. Lack of figures, overabundance of "prop" pieces, and sadly unimaginative designs made this not worth the money. One of the days was quite literally just two targets. Another was a stand for a Tusken warstick. Very disappointing.

Its a sad Christmas this year
