This set initially feels overpriced. However once I started making the builds. I was thinking this is a really good army builder. With 5 different head expressions, 2 different bodies and legs and goggles up or down you can customise a great deal of variety in your Hoth rebel defense force. You won't need 2 E-webs for every 3 troopers so the legs can replace the stud shooters on any other battle packs you own. The power packs can be used with the Imperial E-webs in there battle packs too. The barrels for the E-webs look fantastic and better looking than the Imperial ones. The utility of this little set is actually really impressive. Nothing will be wasted if you buy large numbers of these.

Better than it looks

This is a great little battle pack type set. Considering the price increases over the years, and the recent Battle of Hoth wave of sets, it makes some sense why LEGO would release this little set now, and I can't complain. BUT please increase the limit from 3 to 5 at least. How can anyone build an army with only 3. The Clone command pack has a limit of 5 and this is only 3? That does not make sense.

Fantastic Little Set, but Great Army Builder ??

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Its a great add on for the other Hoth theme Starwars legos, but the price is high for what is just 3 figures and some miscellaneous white bricks.

Wal mart always has a good selection of Legos. This particular item is older and could not find it at any other site! Also got it for a sweet deal Wal marts prices are always competitive. Win Win

I loved the graphics and the design of these battle packs, I did not love that my item was shipped in a bag without a backboard instead of in a box with shipping paper or air bags, completely destroying the intrinsic value for which I paid extra for by ruining the complete item. (backboard rolled and creased, edging damage, seals loosened)

Walmart needs to take better care of opp.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been waiting for something like this for a while, but it isnt conveniently available in stores and honestly feels like this set doesn't know what its own identity even is. Is it an army builder? A base builder? A CLONE army builder with three templates? (Are random heads too difficult when we've had them on storm troopers in the past?) No matter what you do, you are going to have twice as many weapons as you need with no good way of integrating them into your display. You either have a bunch of rifles sitting around or some heavy mounted guns sitting around. There's already a perfectly good turret build, so the cannons and weird radio things are just there to justify the price point. Instead of redundant and idle equipment Lego could have easily dedicated those pieces to some cover like in the snow trooper battle pack, especially considering the rebels were the ones that were supposed to have trenches and snow-built cover in the first place. I got 3 of these for christmas and tried my best to make a trench with the help of pieces provided by my snow trooper battle pack, but all the extra equipment lying around is pretty hard to make up for without a dedicated lego bin at my new place.

price hike way over inflation, should be 4 figs and one fig missing leg print, feels a bit less value than clone one, has more guns less printed tiles.
