My son saved up and purchased this. With all Legos I find that they're extremely expensive for what you get, with that said my son loved the build of this. He's 14 but loves the super hard builds. Overall, extremely satisfied, highly recommend.

Okay, so I bought this when it first came out. Built and given to a neighborhood friend when finished.  So…..I'm 74 now and wanted to see if I still had any Lego building skills left in me. Not sure that I answered that question, but I finished  it with no problems. This one will probably also go to a neighborhood kid as, even with a 4,278 square foot house, I don't have a place for this large set.
Lot's of fun.
Btw, I build sets of this size on a firm wooded platform.  Easier to move around. The platform is simply a thick piece of wood slightly larger that the sets footprint.

Almost perfect. The set is absolutely beautiful and huge. Pictures do not do this set justice. Reason I say almost perfect is because out of the whole build I was missing only one piece which for a set that cost this much you'd hope it had everything. I checked all my bags and swept the room by eye and feel entirely to see if I misplaced it but sadly negative. Had to put a missing piece request. But overall a beautiful set.

Tiny pieces are kinda hard for me I have fat little fingers but my son is working on it with me and I'm enjoying the time I spending with him

This was supposed to be a summer project, however, because she has had several missing bricks she hasn't been able to build it for the last 3 weeks. Why does it take so long to get a replacement brick? It has been 3 week since we discovered two missing parts and then another in the next bag. At this point it will be another two weeks until she can start building again (given the estimated arrival of the missing pieces). She is really disappointed and so am I given the cost of this thing.

Several Missing Bricks

I am ninth middle of building this and have run into two problems.  First when I assembled landing gear (bag set 2), I was missing a piece which I contacted LEGO and they are sending it.  The other issue is with same bag they didn't give me enough of the same color of one feature on the 6 legs, so I have one leg that has one feature that is light gray while the others are dark gray.  Upsetting on this as the price I paid for it but satisfied so far with the result coming along.  Hope to finish it in a week with no more missing parts.

Great but a few problems

My husband and I tag team building sets and we both agree that this one isn't all that great. Don't get me wrong, big Star Wars fans here and we were super stoked to start this, but here are our criticisms: 
1. The book is ridiculous. After previously building Titanic (which has three separate books), this is one large spiral bound book. While we like the spiral feature, the book is super awkward and heavy. We have a special book holder just for our LEGO sets and it falls over because the book is so big. 
2. Multiple bags of the same number. For example, bag 12 is actually 4 bags with two additional bags of smaller parts. It's a lot of parts and a lot of searching. 
3. The whole thing feels like it will fall apart. After recently building Titanic (an absolute tank) and Hogwarts Castle (solid), this set feels precarious and flimsy. 
Overall, pleased with the purchase and with the time spent building and yeah, would recommend to a fellow LEGO-er and Star Wars fan, but feel the engineers could have done a better job.

Not convinced

I received this kit as a Valentines gift from my husband. This was not my first kit but if it had been, I likely would not have gotten any more.
The first set of bags was missing a piece, this was workable as I could pull from another bag and request the replacement. But then in the 4th set, a whole bag was missing! And still a couple more in the 5th bags. Then again in the 9th bag, which is where I still am while I wait for yet another replacement part.
The time it took to get the missing 4th bag was crazy, over 3 months! I should be done with this build, not stuck halfway through!
I have never had such a tremendous issue with missing parts as I am experiencing with this very expensive kit.
As I said before, if I had started collecting with this kit, it would have also been the last.

Missing pieces, so many pieces

This was a fun but stressful build. Not because of the size of this piece but how many pieces were missing. I could understand a piece or two being gone but multiple pieces missing is ridiculous, especially for the price. Luckily the pieces missing were mainly internal but still a little disappointing. But my boyfriend loves it!

Fun build but

I am very dissapointed in the build architecture of this product as it is very fragile.  With the size and the weight (and the hefty price) I was expecting a more solid construction.  The frame is strong but the plates that make up the exterior are very basic and do not have much structural strength or strong anchor points.  If you build this and it is to kept within a glass display cabinet where it is never touched, then fine, but I want to enjoy my lego builds I want to appreciate the internal details of the product, but with this, when you remove a top plate to view parts of the Falcon, there is always a very high risk of something coming loose, and bits coming off.  This totally spoiled it for me.  When moving the falcon it is a gamble again as unless you manage to get your hands underneath in the correct spot's you will break bits off when you try to move it.

I am absolutely gutted that I havent enjoyed this product, I saved for a couple of months to buy it, but this has 100% put me off buying any other large lego sets again.  Lego to me is a peacefull enjoyable hobby, but this build, towards the end, nearly got thrown across the room with the poor build, and fragile pieces coming loose.

I am very very disappointed with this set.  I wish I bought Jabbas Barge instead or the Titanic, but now to be honest I am very reluctant to spend my money on any expensive sets now.

Be prepared, this is not a plesant build.
