Whether you're a die-hard Star Wars fan, a die-hard Lego fan, or both, this set will be very enjoyable for you! I have an older R2-D2 set from the early 2000s. It is a great set, but with time comes different building techniques and new bricks for our sets. This set has a light up "flux capacitor" brick and other printed bricks that were released only for this build. It will be fun using it in my builds, just another degree of realism. Great sale in this right now, but even for the MSRP of $199.99, this set has everything you want in a Lego set. The playability of this set is disguised well, as there are many play features, yet they remain hidden, so it looks good in every aspect!!

This lego set was a nice set to build. It took about a week a couple of hours a night. And looked fantastic when finished

This was a great buy. The details and final product is amazing with moving parts adding interest. Certainly brings back childhood memories as you build. Love Star Wars and Lego have certainly got R2-D2 spot on.

I have several UCS pieces and this R2-D2 build was frustrating. The biggest issue for me was the flimsiness of the build. The side panels feel loose and the mechanics of the center leg it a little goofy. Several pieces kept coming apart when trying to add the legs and side panels. Other than that, I love the detail, I just wouldn't move it around much.

Good but, with some flaws.

This build was both fun and complicated at certain steps. Be very careful with the linkage assembly for the arms and how they lower the 3rd leg

Complicated

The issue was that it was opened and then closed with tape. 

Thus devalues it if it is beong bought as an investment, or gift.

please do not buy from this vendor! ordered the Lego R2-D2 collectors set, received a no name knockoff! buyer beware!
