Final product is solid and can be easily moved.

Voted for gunship when lego pulled out a poll, and it didn't disappoint me at all, a gorgeous display ucs set, one thing I would like lego to add to this set is minifig, they should have put more minifig into the gunship, 2 minifig for this behemoth is just not enough. Overall I would rate as 4.5 out of 5 star

A superb ucs set

I have always wanted to had a gunship model in my room so I got this model and I surpassed my expectations. The model looks amazing on my shelf and after filling it with clones I think it looks even better. My only complaint is how when picking it up to move it is very back heavy. The problem with that is that the back is very thin and can break easily so move with care.

Great fun

This is my first UCS set and it is a beautiful display. I'm super happy with how it turned out and it was a fun build. I know certain things were said about the minifigures but I like Mace Windu and that's enough for me. 
Definitely make sure you have a space to display this set, it's wingspan and length are both nearing 2ft.

I would of give this build 5/5 but it is getting 4/5 
So it started off good getting though the first bag. Got to the second bag and I was missing pieces which was annoying but lucky for me i took it off another set Lego did good and send me the bits I was missing which I got 27/1/22 

Got to bag 4, was going well till I could not find 8 bricks checked all the other bags they did not have what I wanted, so had to email Lego to order them 8 bricks which I am still waiting. 

I had no problem After putting bag 4 to the side and carried on with the rest it was a great build just a Little annoying that I've got  to wait to finish the build.

Republic gunship

This set is amazing! When the set was announced, I immediately decided to get it. It's nearly perfect, although it has some mild flaws. The first one, is the use of stickers on some elements, I believe specifically the emblem of the Republic should be a print. The second issue is that it's awkward to lift the ship off the display stand, but it's manageable. Lastly, I believe there should have been the secondary doors added to the set as a side build, but optional, like TFA modifications in the UCS Millennium Falcon. I wish I could have given the doors when I finished it but that lets me design my own build. I know some people don't like the mini figures, but I don't mind, they're neat. Overall I rate the set 4.5/5

Amazing set, with few minor issues

I absolutely loved this build. The technic/lego build ratio was perfect and nothing was too repetitive. I like others enjoyed the printed bubbles, I personally have had no issues keeping them together, they snapped together fine for me. My only complaint would be the weak sliding doors, have had those fall off a few times cuz I like that feature. Can easily be reinforced though. Was missing 1 piece overall and given an extra by mistake, also those big white plate pieces, I think they need to be packed separately in future. Mine kinda had burgundy scratches on them, but honestly it blends in, gunships ain't supposed to look like they rolled off the factory line in Geonosis

Fantastic Set!

As soon as I saw the box I knew that it was huge. Very detailed on the hull of the ship bags 4,5 and 7 when you add the armor on the ship. The wings are HUGE and the and so are the doors. I wish the minifigure count was higher because the gunship is supposed to carry a lot of soldiers. But when I got finished I carried the gunship to another spot in my house, and the back door broke. Very fragile. So as I was rebuilding the back door I noticed that the armour that you put on in bag 7 was not fully pushed in. So I took the cockpit off ( bag 8) and the armour off to see what the problem was. I tried to put the armour back on but I could not and now I have to restart completely. Not cool Lego. You will see what I mean in the pictures. I already took some big stuff off.

Love it but has problems

Great buy, came with a tennis ball size hole on one side like they attempted to fist my Lego set on the shipping truck. Thankfully no pieces were missing but this is an ultimate collectors set.. the box is kinda important Walmart.

I really wanted to give this set a better rating since I have such fond memories of the first playscale gunship lego made. It was so excited to put this one together, but the building experience was absolutely ruined by the sticker sheet. I can't stand circular stickers, and clear backed stickers are quite frustrating too. Personally, I believe that every UCS set should not come with a single sticker, only printed pieces. Hopefully in the future that may be the norm. As frustrating as the building process was, I must admit the final model is quite impressive.

Great ship model, but very poor build experience

The size of the model is easily the most impressive thing, so it is nice to look at every now and then. And during the build I was impressed by the structure of the framework, having to create a strong frame as well as allowing for the large open space couldn't have been easy.
 Past that it becomes difficult to praise. Many fans would have much rather had a slightly smaller more suited to minifig scale, yet still highly detailed set with better functionality. Interestingly the set is not large enough to host speeder bikes as detailed in the design for the movies, yet is still far too large to display with minifigs. 
 This set features some moveable parts, such as the rotating missiles as seen in Attack of the Clones and what the designers proudly let us know are the largest moving parts of a Lego set. Yes the doors move, and yes they are large, but a better way of putting it is that they wobble about 2 inches from one open position, to an even more open position.
 Were scalpers not so heartless with their prices I would urge any fan of the LAAT to purchase the 2013 set, 75021. It has better play features, minifigures, yet still looks fantastic.
Having heard how little the designers payed attention to the minifigure selection, a crucial part of any lego set; (especially to the fans as this was a fan voted and driven set) I was left feeling slightly insulted. I've seen a lot of requests for Cody and Jedi Bob, however being based on its introduction in Episode II it would have made more sense to include characters actually seen in the gunship. But you already know how disappointing the figure selection is. Unfortunately it has become a trend lately for Lego to throw in low effort figures. We must see this come to an end!!
 If money is of no concern to you then by all means it makes for a fair display piece. Having been excited for this to release ever since the initial vote, and more so because it seemed like the only way to acquire this model having missed the chance in 2013 - and not having had a suitable re release since - I simply could not pass up the chance to purchase this set. Having done so now I keep this model (and my regret) under a t-shirt out of sight. 
Redeemed by the love I and many fans have for the LAAT itself.

Not the best Republic Gunship

I was so excited for this build and contemplated buying it for months. I finally purchased the gunship and it ended up being so unstable. The gunship will fall apart everytime you try and move it. The back pieces always fall apart because they are reinforced or don't have enough surface area coverage. Also the cockpit is under so much pressure because of how this build sits in its standard. Parts will break under this pressure over time. I attempted to mount this build as well and as yoi can imagine it feel apart and is too unstable to mount. I would NOT recommend anyone buy this set. Lego do better!!
