Bought for my son who is an avid lego and star wars fan. He has thoroughly enjoyed it and has been hours of entertainment, which as a mum,is as much of a gift for me!

Hours of fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 7- (almost 8) year-old son, loves Legos, is great at assembling them, and has sets all over the house. When I told him that I got him the Resistance Y-Wing Starfighter set (recommended for kiddos and others 8+), he was so excited. The set is somewhat challenging. But, in typical Lego fashion, the full-color guide and clearly-labeled bags make the experience 'a snap,' (yes, I hear the groans now... pun intended). I let him run with the project, watching as he went and helping him learn from his mistakes. He faltered a few times, but we course corrected together and had a blast assembling the set. Three characters with weapons, two droids, spring-loaded firing missiles, three bombs that fall from a manually-rotated cylinder in the rear middle of the fighter, brightly-colored stickers, and just a really cool all-round build make this 578-piece fighter a fun set to assemble... and of course play with. My son spent hours playing with this set after building it and refused to let us disassemble it and put it away for a week (despite Christmas being two weeks away and knowing he'd have more Lego sets to build. So, is the set worth buying? Definitely. I recommend the Resistance Y-Wing Starfighter as a co-build project for you and your young builder and is definitely a solid set for older builders (and Star Wars fans, of course).. This is a pretty good Y Wing build. I like that the turret not only rotates but can point upward as well. D-0 was an excellent addition; don't let any video reviewers fool you, it absolutely counts as a mini figure! The aqua marine "astromech droid" is interesting. Zori Bliss is well done, however she comes with a blank head under the helmet. That's probably because Star Wars dind't give Lego enough info at the time so I don't blame Lego for that.

Nice Ship and figures!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son has several Lego sets but by far this is his favorite. He had a lot of fun building it and thought it was a fast straight forward build. He really loves all the features and ways to play with it. He loved that it could drop bombs, and love shooting with the lasers. He says it fits perfectly in his hands for flying around. He loves that the droid can sit like they do in the movies. But it also perfectly shaped to sit on top. He loves the included figurines which are loads of fun to play.

My son's favorite Lego set!!

This is the 2nd best Lego set my son (age 7) has built. He likes the unique and rare mini figs and the bombs are quite easy to reload. The Y-wing looks exactly like the Y-Wing in The Rise Of Skywalker.
