This is such a cute set! When I put my Mario and Luigi on Dorrie, she squeaks and they can ride around on her! I love the hidden blocks, but one of my favorite parts about this set is when you kick the shell and knock out the huckit crab! I also like the little sandcastle, and how you can break it to get the 1st hidden block. The water spouts are really cool, too! There is nothing I don't like about this fun set. I would recommend this set for LEGO and Super Mario fans!

It does not come with the Luigi or Mario characters so you would need to also have the starter kit to make the best use of this expansion set.  The expansion set has a number of small pieces in various colours.  My 7-year-old enjoyed playing with it.
