My grandson is a LEGO fanatic. He would not even let his dad sleep until this thing was well under way and has carried it everywhere to show it to everyone he loves. It doesn't fall to pieces every time you move something on it like the regular Lego sets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Way bigger than shows on the box. This is a great buy! My son asked one for his birthday and he is obsessed with it. More moving parts than we anticipated and alot more fun than it shows.

Much cooler than expected

Such a fun build! I love all the moving parts to this model, including how there are water pieces you can use to "fill" the plane and then drop.

Numbered bags and sections easily break up the build though it felt like section 4 could have been broken up even further.

This set is a great addition to all of the other LEGO planes we have. I love building with Technic and the firefighter airplane looks great with this type of LEGO. The directions were clear and easy to follow. The colors are bright and this is both fun to play with and looks nice to display.

Fun Build!

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I was extremely excited to try the LEGO Technic Firefighter Aircraft set. My daughter and I are huge LEGO fans and I couldn't wait for us to build this together! The manual is big, but it's also very thorough and colorful. It takes you step-by-step through the building process. The pieces are grouped into individual bags so as you go through the instructions you'll be told exactly which bag you should be working with. This is a big set with 1134 pieces. I personally like the bigger sets such as this. I find them relaxing and very fulfilling once complete. One thing that really impressed me with this set was the level of detail. The propellers spin, the wheels fold up, it drops tinted LEGOs that resemble water; you quickly notice that LEGO didn't hold anything back when designing the Technic Firefighter Aircraft. Overall I'm extremely pleased with this set and would highly recommend it to anyone that loves a challenging LEGO project!

A Fun, Detailed Build You'll Love

Cool plane, with many cool features, but before you move on building after step 265 and step 317  (same in both steps, these steps are almost identical because they are just on different wings)  put the large gear the opposite side from where the instructions tell you to. (as shown on picture) You see, LEGO wasn't smart enough to have the propellers moving the right way. And don't believe the LEGO display video.  The landing gear takes longer to pull up.  Otherwise Great set. Fully recommend and God bless!

Cool set, but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so happy to give this to my grandson for his birthday. He spend many  hours putting this plane together. Once he was finished, he couldn't get the landing gear to operate correctly. It was hard watching him try so hard to get it to work by taking pieces apart and putting it back together again and still not able to get it to work properly. He felt so disappointed and frustrated. I would have returned it and got another but I hated to take it from him after he spent so much time putting it all together. He has so many Lego Technic sets and this is the first one he has had a problem with like this. Unfortunately it is one of the more expensive sets he has received from us costing over $100.00 with tax.

Disappointed. Landing gear not working.
