The image of this TV is very clear and precise. The colors are wow! I use the smart app to access my subscriptions. I don’t use my Apple TV anymore. However, I hit a bug to activate Google Home. I hope I can solve it because I use Google to control my luminaires with several automations. I still give a rating of 5 out of 5 for the image quality and the device control app and remote control.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upgraded to this set from a C1 model and I'm really liking it so far. The settings menus are easy to use and adjusting things to just how I like them has been a breeze.

Only minor things to pick up on would be the removal of the dedicated input button on the remote, and the ongoing confusion as to why the USB and Ethernet inputs are still USB 2.0 and 100mbps speeds respectively? It's 2026 as I write this, USB 3.0 and 1gbps ethernet should be Standard by now.

LG 55 inch C5 OLED

Outstanding Picture Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this as it was a which recommended and I'm really pleased with it. The picture is so clear and sharp, the colours are deep and warm and the sound quality from the TV itself is really very good. I'm not a big fan of the OS as it's a little complicated to navigate, but it does what a TV should do and that's display a quality image and sound.

Great all-rounder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Brought when on sale, best TV ive owned by a country mile, I did alot of research before and this was top of my list and within my budget. I paired this TV with a Soundbar and the visuals and audio are incredible. 10/10 also LG have been very informative throughout the purchase, I will be using again soon!

C5 55 OLED

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Going from a 2017 Samsung 4K TV was always going to be an upgrade but the upgrade to OLED is breathtaking. I bought the C5 primarily for gaming, which is fantastic with the game optimiser, increased refresh rate and HDR. After upgrading Netflix and Disney+ to let me watch Dolby Vision shows, I honestly can't imagine going back to an LCD/QLED TV. The blacks are fully black and even in dark scenes you can see every detail. Whilst it's quite a price increase over a QLED/lower price point MiniLED, the difference is immense.

Unbelievable upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We already had a Freely box (Manhattan Aero 4k) and Sonos Beam 2 setup. I was looking for something that would give an excellent quality picture and sound. We no longer have a tv aerial (reception here is poor, especially in the summer) and so I cannot comment on broadcast live tv.

I have to admit that I had not realised how much bigger this screen would be (we had a 40" Panasonic before) and I have come in for some stick from my wife who has always said that she did not want the tv to dominate our living room. However, we have both quickly got used to the new size and it does mean that we can watch from further away in the room as well as close up.

There are a lot of settings to try out and it has taken a while to find what we like best, but that is to be expected. I am very pleased with the depth of colour and contrast that the OLED screen provides. UHD on BBC iPlayer for looks superb. Dolby Vision and Atmos is equally good from Amazon Prime. Playing Mario Kart with the grandchildren works better with a four-way split on the bigger screen.

I bought direct from the LG website at the lowest price I have seen. It arrived promptly and was easy to unpack and connect up.

Happy with my Purchase

There is a plethora of Apps which tend to clutter the first screen and some tailoring is needed to make this easier.
Functionality to do this could be more user friendly.

Excellent Picture Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our trusty LG plasma finally gave up after 19 years. Whilst taking it apart for recycling I was impressed with the build quality so decided to shortlist LG again.   I was contemplating a mini-led TV but glad we went for OLED technology which is a closer match to plasma in terms self-illuminating pixel display technology.  

The C5 has not disappointed.  The design is sleek and the TV feels premium, the remote control however isn't in the same class.  Picture is superb, handles our mix of sources very well indeed.  Sound quality was surprisingly good, we route digital audio to an amp and speakers but only need to use that for movie nights.

Overall, the C5 OLED is an impressive TV - after a month of use the whole family remains very pleased.

Perfect replacement for our trusty LG Plasma

Picture quality great. Sound is awful, it's either too tinny or adjust the settings and it sounds like a box has been stuck over the TV.
The hub constantly goes offline and the LG assistant is useless.
Had to factory reset the TV a few times to get apos to show/ work properly.
Having to buy extra kit as it constantly buffers whilst streaming on my 910mb fibre connection.
I've had LG TVs for 20+ years and this has been the most expensive and most disappointing TV I've had in that time.
