Upgrade From Older Tv

Features an intuitive remote control and menu system.

Offers intuitive voice control, but can be frustrating to use at times.

Offers good quality at a reasonable cost.

Provides excellent image quality with sharp and bright visuals.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We already had a Freely box (Manhattan Aero 4k) and Sonos Beam 2 setup. I was looking for something that would give an excellent quality picture and sound. We no longer have a tv aerial (reception here is poor, especially in the summer) and so I cannot comment on broadcast live tv.

I have to admit that I had not realised how much bigger this screen would be (we had a 40" Panasonic before) and I have come in for some stick from my wife who has always said that she did not want the tv to dominate our living room. However, we have both quickly got used to the new size and it does mean that we can watch from further away in the room as well as close up.

There are a lot of settings to try out and it has taken a while to find what we like best, but that is to be expected. I am very pleased with the depth of colour and contrast that the OLED screen provides. UHD on BBC iPlayer for looks superb. Dolby Vision and Atmos is equally good from Amazon Prime. Playing Mario Kart with the grandchildren works better with a four-way split on the bigger screen.

I bought direct from the LG website at the lowest price I have seen. It arrived promptly and was easy to unpack and connect up.

Happy with my Purchase

lg.com/uk

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Buying from the LG website was easy with lots of information and easy comparison of products. The TV itself is great with a fabulous picture and lots of different features - more even than I think I will ever use. Set up was easy with clear instructions that I followed to have the whole thing ready in less than 30 minutes.

Great site for buying and super product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The C5 is a standout television with high brightness and true to life colours! Love the interface as well with the AI options also

Stand Out TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First time to OLED and Wow..Amazing screen resolution and such deep colours. Truly a totally new viewing experience. Any input works from streaming HD content to DVDs and standard TV channels. All super clear and sharp as...

Fantastic TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded to the LG C5 55” from a Philips Ambilight TV and couldn’t be happier with the decision. The picture quality is genuinely stunning — blacks are inky deep, colours are vibrant without being over-saturated, and HDR content looks incredible. Whether it’s films, sport, or gaming, everything looks noticeably sharper and more lifelike.

The brightness is excellent for an OLED and holds up well even in a bright room. Motion handling is smooth, and the upscaling of HD content is far better than I expected. Gaming performance is also top-tier with low input lag and flawless support for next-gen consoles.

webOS is fast, intuitive, and far more responsive than the smart system on my previous TV. Apps load quickly and the interface is clean and easy to navigate. The design itself is sleek and premium, with incredibly thin bezels that really let the picture take centre stage.

I was a bit unsure about losing Ambilight, but the sheer quality of the display more than makes up for it. This TV feels like a proper step into the high-end OLED experience.

Highly recommended.

Outstanding upgrade – picture quality is great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TV is nice, it's just getting use to you settings the you like for picture and sound, otherwise the 48 inch works perfectly for us.

Lovely TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is so good, we love watching our TV although we restrict it for just 1 movie a week. But it's really enjoyable. Plus while watching we have a feeling we are inside the movie, the quality is very good.
We are very impressed

We love our new TV

The TV picrure is excellent. However the setup guide is brutal. Talks so fast that it is impossible to follow.
It keeps defaulting to the LG TV and I have to change it to my local cable provider every night.
Not very user friendly and with all the AI you would think it could figure it out.

Excellent picture quality.

lg.com/ca

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Worth it if you can afford the price. I upgraded from a C1 and the difference is clear. The C5 is noticeably better in brightness and colours. The only thing I noticed is that the sound is not as good compared to the C1. In cinema mode the C1 is more bassy and fills the room. The C5 is better in AI sounds compared to the C1. Overall, well worth the upgrade

One of the best

AMAZING PICTURE BUT THE SOUND CONTINUOUSLY STOPS WHEN TURNING THE TV ON FOR THE FIRST TIME EACH DAY, SO FRUSTRATING, I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT CAUSES IT AS AFTER CHANGING NUMEROUS SETTINGS IT SUDDENLY STARTS AGAIN.

NO SOUND

Living-room background softly blurred; often used as a large digital art display or console gaming monitor.
